Can someone shed some light on me? Just curious as to why some ferals take pw or bs. Like what’s the pros and cons? I’m going to mess around with both when I get off work but just curious about what everyone thinks about both for raiding and mythic +’s. Any input would be greatly appreciated :cat:

BS is great for single and AOE damage. I think primal wrath is good for fortified weeks in mythics

Brutal slash is the more commonly taken path, its a quick bursty aoe and without wild fleshrending its higher damage than shred at a lower energy cost so a ST DPS gain. (at 2 WF the damage is about the same, and at 3 WF shred will do more damage, but BS will still maintain a higher damage per energy, this means its still worth taking for ST if your running BT, however if you run MoC, its actually a dps loss to waste a BS charge on ST with a clearcasting proc.)
Primal wrath is a much more sustained aoe, as you can simply cast it whenever you have 5 combo points and it keeps rip up on all targets though at half the duration of your standard rip finisher. This makes keeping large packs dotted up much easier. Also with Soul of the forest its actually energy positive (it costs 20 energy and your refunded 25) so its easy to cast it often.
I personally like using primal wrath. I run a MoC build with 3x wild fleshrending, this allows for a massive amount of swipe/PW spam for some very nice sustained aoe damage.

(TL:DR at bottom) I am an ok m+ runner as feral with a 1.1k rating on raider,io and we take PW over BrS because it provides more overal damage on big pulls. Paired with GL and WFR the amount of damage you can pump out with thrash, swipes, and a rip on all targets is greater than the damage we get from thrash and BrS. But with this build we do lack ST damage in order to gain the AoE.

However for raiding I haven’t seen a practical reason to take PW over BrS. TF BrF with JF just is so much more valuable in a raid setting that an AoE rip because BrS is now our most powerful ability with that build (other than bite ofc).

TL:DR - PW>BrS for AoE reasons (M+)
PW<BrS in raid for ST reasons (Raid)
