I was making low level Shamans of different race to decide which race I wanted to change to, and upon making a Highmountain Shaman (lvl 10 starting), i went to the target dummies in Org.
I filled up my bars, and was depressed that Enhance somehow doesn’t get Stormstrike until level 20!!! However, they get an ability called Primal Strike untili then, at which point Stormstrike replaces it, as far as I can tell. Yep-- I just tested this by making a /cast Primal Strike macro at 20 yds from a dummy and i get the error message “Out of range.” and my heart skipped a beat! Was I blind and not seeing it in the spellbook? I moved within melee range, used it, and Stormstrike goes on CD.
Rabble, rabble rabble!!! Even if this is just a mainhand auto attack that can trigger WF, i am fine with that. There’s no reason not to have it available, though? It could make things more interesting, especially the potential of using it as filler with Forceful Winds (Windfury talent that buffs its damage by 35%, stacking up to 5x).
They could add some flavor to add to Class Fantasy as well, such as making it a main-hand auto attack that is nature damage, for example, and/or making this particular ability have double the chance of procing Windfury than it has otherwise, since the ability itself will be relatively low damage.
Thoughts? Any one see a reason NOT to make this ability available to Enhance?

I was excited to hear that primal strike was coming back because I thought it would have a cool interaction. it obviously doesnt sadly but I do like ur idea. However, I think having more buttons to press is not ok for Enhance as we already have 2 full bars and a half of skills and some we dont really use that often. If anything primal strike should be some kind of enhancement passive that make both weapons attack at the same time MAYBE giving ENH like a stacking buff or something.
well prolly that it isn’t meant to have a no-CD filler nor does it need one

Even the elemental cc we once had is better than an ability added late during cata because bliz realized oh sh!t how do we tell people they can have a melee spec for enhance before lvl 10…as if weapon imbues didn’t already do that…

You stating you are excited for primal strike to return regardless of whatever reason follows after is enough to warrant this conversation.
