I feel I definitely didn’t pay attention if these events stopped throughout the Dragonflight zones. I was looking at my achievement list and saw I didn’t have the achievement Storm Chaser. Were these events stopped with the new content?

No, they were not stopped. I did a couple in Azure Span back before Christmas. They still show up on the map when they are active.

They are active like every other hour and last for like an hour and a half. Something like that but they very much still happening
They are definitely still a thing. If you use addons, there is one called TomCat’s Tours, and it will put an info bar on your screen, currently it is showing there is one in Waking Shores and it has 39 minutes left.
I’ve been watching them lately, since I don’t have all the achieves in all the zones, so they are still a thing.
I’m still missing a couple of the achieves in both Thaldrazzus and Ohnarian Plains, which were not popular farming spots when the expansion started.
And now that I’m watching for the ones I need, it seems like I never see the right elemental storm in the right zone whenever I’m on and checking it. RNG gods are definitely screwing me, as per usual.

You’re welcome. You can change the settings also to only show what you need. I have removed Superbloom and Rifts because I know exactly when they occur and where.
I think as part of the story, they became less frequent after the Vault raid. Some of those achievements goals require specific storm types in specific zones, so it’s not terribly easy to finish these days.
They are still as frequent as they always have been, just not as many do them.
Your map shows them. You do not need fancy addons.
They still happen. also wowheads front page tells you where the current storm is as well.
I suspect only achievement hunters and those really crazy folks still trying to get a Lariat design.
They are still available. I just did one on my shaman last week so I could pick up a shield from the vendor.
