Are there any connection between Elemental lords and proto-drakes? Apparently, ELs were enslaved by the Old Gods to start the Black Empire right? So who are proto drakes neutral in a cosmic orientation sense?
They appear to be neutral yes. The elemental lords seem to have no connection to the primal incarnates.
There is no solid proof for it, but given Razatath is the Storm Eater and Iridikron’s insatible hunger terrified the aspects to contemplate even 20,000 later… perhaps the Incarnates gain power through consuming elemental spirits. That would mean the elemental lords would have big targets on their backs.
If they go after Mama Therazane, we ride at dawn!
Everything we’ve seen so far just has the Incarnates doing their own thing. There’s no indication yet that they work for anybody.
I hope it stays that way. Every single villain in this game being puppeted by another bigger villain got old years ago.
When we reach the fourth Incarnate, Varimathras is going to be riding him.
“This was the real plan all along! Muahahahaha!”
They’re neutral. Tied to the Elementals at most. And hopefully it stays that way.
The Primal Incarnates aren’t the most complex of villains but so far its nice that their hatred of the Titans is based on conclusions they came to themselves, and not because they’re trying to cover Azeroth in purple void magic like a big dumb cosmic game of Splatoon.
It seems that while three incarnates were wholly devoted to the primalist cause and serve only the interests of the cause of a free and pure elemental azeroth, Iridikron is another story. In the final days before he got caught he made some terrible shady deals out of desperation to win at any cost, and one would imagine some of them must of been with the old gods. Even his siblings do not know he stooped that low, likely.
So willing void corruption means he might indeed be a Galakrond in the making. It matches how he responded to the death of Razagath, the other two incarnates were outraged at her death, Iridikron was single mindedly focused on his war against… everyone, it seems like.
If Iridikron is(along with Zovaal) the 8th whom the 7 singers of the Pattern(the 6 vs the 7th) fear then Iridikron will backstab the Old Gods for his power due to his hunger.

“I… know you. What you were. What you will yet be.”
“Her dreams sing beneath the surface. Our dreams. Our song.”
“You will follow him to the deep places. The dark waters will flow in his wake.”
“With many eyes, they will see again. They will drink, and be uplifted.”
Oracle Saezurah states this:
“Her dreams sing beneath the surface. Quiet now, but her voice will awaken the others.”
Ysera was Elune’s pet so the Emerald Dream is her Dream: What does Re-Origination do? Convert the Planet into a copy of the Emerald Dream of course!
If Elune was in the Emerald Dream at the time then she will be copied into the Dream of the Old Gods as well creating their Avatar who must die 3 times in order to awaken:
As Barrowknoll Cemetery Whispers states:
" Night falls. Her song will end."
“Has she betrayed you yet? She will…”
And as Il’gynoth states:
“At the hour of her third death, she will usher in our coming.”
“The vassal of life disguises treachery. Beware the eyes of green.”
“When their mistress beckons, nine ravens take flight. Each seeks a prize to earn her favor.”
“The blind queen wields a scepter of bone. From the deep, she calls forth doom.”
And as N’Zoth during the Uu’nat Encounter states:
N’Zoth whispers: “The fall of night reveals her true face. She will bring only ruin.”
Old God Avatar Elune will be an interesting Enemy to say the least since she shows how Elune sees herself in her Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The First Ones ironically only gave part of the story to each of their children so none of them realize that Iridikron and Zovaal are the threats that are foreseen.
And yet N’Zoth’s statements this Expansion in the Time Travel Quest make it clear that Iridikron is indeed one of the threats in the prophecies:
“You will follow him to the deep places. The dark waters will flow in his wake.”
“With many eyes, they will see again. They will drink, and be uplifted.”
From Il’gynoth:
“He gave himself to the deep places. He gave himself to me.”
“It grows hungrier… bolder. Alas, your eyes are closed.”
From the way he talks it seems none of the Old Gods realize that Iridikron is the final culprit of their Visions.
The Void saw a First Person Vision of Alleria kneeling to N’Zoth, a First Person Vision of Garrosh grabbing Y’Shaarj’s power, a Vision of the Horrors of the Maw, a First Person Vision of Iridikron eating N’Zoth right after he awakened(followed by the creation of an army worse than the Old Gods’ own) and a vision of a Black Goat with 7 Eyes Watching a pool from the outside and assumed all these Visions are of the same threat.
Iridikron will be an interesting Villain of Dragonflight considering all the Prophecies since Legion and the Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron lead to his showdown with the Players.
You could fit Deathwing into that as well. He did come to see the gifts he got as a curse due to how much pain and suffering it was causing him. The Old Gods offered a ‘cure’ and he was desperate to accept.
not saying puppets…simply saying that this could be something much larger than just the Incarnates.
Given the bargain iridikron supposedly made that the other incarnates know nothing about, there is definitely a bigger enemy waiting to show itself
prepare for some old god connections, imo. When Alexastrazsa said the Earth dude, Ironiski or however you spell it, made some terrible deals to continue the war.
Maybe he made a deal with someone to make Deathwing be corrupted. It seems to me that the titan artifact he was welding seem to be of time magic as it affected Nozdormu’ power of time. Maybe making Neltharian into the Primus in the way that with that artifact, he knew all outcomes of a battle before it even happened which would give Deathwing immense power.
And if he was attacked before he could use the artifact, then he would be made vulnerable and desperate. Desperate enough to turn the Old Gods for help.
EDIT: And if the aspects were foolish enough to accept titan corruption (in the eyes of the Incarnates) then accepting Old God corruption would not be that big of a leap and betrayal since the aspects already betrayed dragonkind before with the Titans.
