So any word on Blizzard removing these awful things yet or nah?
Like really want this beautiful staff for Transmog on my Prevoker but well it costs 2 Sparks and think it was like 130 Primal Chaos to make and well if you look at it’s stats you’ll notice it is not an Intellect staff so crafting it for Transmog rn would be a ridiculous waste of currently invaluable resources as I play exclusively Healers

I don’t know if Sparks are going away completely in 10.1, but I am pretty sure that they’ll be useful only for crafting low-level stuff like this… So if you think ~1 week of them still being relevant makes them invaluable, you’re free to save them. Otherwise, use them for transmog and just get something better when the patch hits.

Sparks will be replaced with sparks of shadowflame which require 2 splintered sparks of shadowflame to make. No info on drop rates though.
They are keeping the spark, removing primal chaos and introducing a new type of spark in 10.1 - this new spark is made from gathering crests and via a work order to enchanting it creates the upgrade token/spark combined. Old sparks will work as they do now and the new sparks require no old sparks. Get your transmog with either of them.
