Are priests the only ones who have to do this kneel/pray exchange of powers? Or is this something all classes have to do?

No this is a class fantasy thing specific for Priests.
And where you kneel/pray depends on your race.
Example:
Humans kneel in Church’s/Holy Places
Undead have to kneel in Graveyards / place with alot of death
etc.

I had to do it to a priest with troll powers. Seems overly complex for a casual like me. I might find some other class.

It’s really not that bad, you just need to find an Undead priest to share their buff with you.

yea, it’s not bad at all, the buffs last for like 4 hours and persist through death

This is news to me; I was under the impression for certain runes you need to get two blessings one from a priest of another race.
But if there’s an NPC handing this out give me the deets lol.
They don’t ‘hand it out’. But you can get the second buff without needing another player. Go to the trainer in Orgrimmar.
Does it cost money? Or are you going to be cryptic?
I actually have human, night elf, troll and undead now.
Go figure.

At work currently but I might roll a priest tonight and do just that.
Better then the mage one imo. Buy charms that cost 7s just to use or unlock certain runes and scrolls and so far the scrolls ive got5en were just meh. Not eveb worth the 7s
Yeah those mage scrolls are really stupid. Pay 7s to unlock a scroll of intellect. Totally not worth.
Clunkiest, unfun, most pointless mechanic I have ever seen in a video game.

I’m not sure about this exactly, but playing an Undead priest let me discover a nice trick about gaining both buffs in UC as well.
I literally LOVE SoD for the stupid random stuff that has been added that we’ve never seen before in the game we all love so much. It took actual DAYS for people to discover the main warlock rune and for it to become public knowledge.
No amount of data mining solved it, the players and community had to work together for it! Literally what MMOs are about, perfectly on display.

When I heard I needed another buff from another priest race I was like uuuuhghghghggh why???.. so I thought to myself I am just going to /kneel and go afk outside the tavern in Brill and within 5 mins a troll priest did /pray on me.
Success.
