Would it be possible to get confirmation on current plans for priests and their racials? I’ve heard it discussed that priest racials like fear ward would be usable by more than dwarves, but it looks like that’s not in place now and I can’t seem to find any concrete evidence that it will be in the future.
Confirmation would be SUPER helpful sooner rather than later as most folks are choosing what race their toons to be in this phase, and it will be difficult to change later.

With the religion mechanic added to Priests - with Priests able to learn other religions - I have to imagine this is the narrative hook for eventually learning Fear Ward on other Priests.
We will see though. You’re right, it isn’t in the game yet though. We can learn of the four major religions but all they’re used for is a handful of rune unlocks.

Yeah, I’d love to see it tied in with the new religion stuff in some way, that’d be really unique!
I expect it to come at a later date via runes potentially, if it does get introduced.

I wouldn’t put any weight into this. Just pick the race you want to play, and plan for the racial swap thing never happening. It was nothing but a brief 5 second mention during a Q&A session where a dev discussed that he was toying with the remote possibility that they would maybe consider allowing something like this in the distant future. It was a mere thought, thats it. The dev said its just a thing they will maybe think about, potentially.
Right, which is why it’d be cool to get confirmation one way or another. If it’s a thing they’re looking to do it will affect choices being made now while people create toons to level.
Oh for sure. I went with my go to choice for the aesthetic. For people who take things a bit more competitively, and want to min and max their character, those same people probably aren’t huge fans of wasting large amounts of time on a character that is inherently flawed due to racial imbalances.
I’m 100% sure they said it will be coming in a later phase in one of the SoD videos, I’m assuming aswell considering either faction can get the Blessing from either side it’s not far to believe Undead Priests with Fear Ward and Night Elf Priests having Devouring Plague aswell.
This is another feature of SOD that I’m really disappointed isn’t actually true it was just a hoax.
