So far every healer except for priest has interrupts available to them in their respective class tree. If it follows that every healer not yet released has both a dps & tank offspec that share an interrupt, that interrupt will also be available to the healing spec. This would lead to priest healers being the only ones without an interrupt. Seems kind of silly to me. They should put silence in the priest tree and keep the improved version in the shadow tree.
Disc gets one tied to divine star and shadow keeps silence so holy is the only one without it. If they were trying to keep them seperate for flavor instead of handing each spec silence i think holy needs to have one tied to chastise as a talent. Make it work similar to demo felguard stun where if the target is immune they still get silenced as a bonus to making it a stun instead of an incap.
Tell that to Ret paladin gameplay…nothing thematic about the Retribution or Paladin theme in the current post-Legion design.
“Light grant me RNG!!!”
I mean it is kind of annoying not being able to interrupt in solo content. I do agree with class fantasy and keeping things unique for groups but torghast felt bad when I could only 1. Fear the mobs to run in random directions or 2. Blast all the mobs 15 yards away from me
We do have mass dispel, but purify is worse because of that. We can only get rid of magic/disease where as other healers have 3 debuff types that they can get rid of. Shamans also have purge, so we’re not the only healer with an offensive dispel.
I dont know what game you’re playing, but its not wow. Having an interrupt isn’t going to magically make all of the other differences between holy priest & mistweaver go away.
And this is why we end up with one healer being in 32% of all runs and another healer being in 1.9% (Mythic plus, 20 and above).
Not everyone needs everything. 100% agreed.
But an interrupt is crucial. Unless Blizzard design fewer mobs / bosses with important interrupt mechanics, everyone should be able to interrupt. If interrupt is a staple mechanic, the ability to interrupt should also be a staple tool.
I know the pain of not having an interrupt. Trying to be a Warlock without Fel Hunter is virtually impossible.
Truly, it just feels bad not being able to interrupt in groups as a healer. You are the one stuck with the fallout, assuming you’re able to recover their error and not stunned by a drain fluids or overwhelmed by the collect sins going out or whatever. So you have to just, sit there, watching casts go off, chanting to yourself get it get it get it and then sigh with exhaustion as they don’t-get-it and spend the next 10sec fixing their mistakes when I could’ve just, you know, wind shear’d and moved on with my day.
I dk,I think it depend on the spec ,they all have some form of interrupt but would it be able to be used is another matter since some are immune to them.
