So with the 5 free talent points they just gave us via legacy points, we can now get renewed hope AND penance. Moving forward, will the move be to shield the tank with the highest lvl shield, or simply put a rank 1 shield on the tank in order to get the 10% crit bonus because of the weakened soul?
The notes I read indicated Legacy didn’t give you more points, it just lets you spend them earlier. Unless I missed something.
you start getting points at lvl 5, instead of lvl 10. It applies retroactively. So we had 21 talent points at lvl 30, but today, with the legacy points they gave us, we can have 26 talent points at lvl 30.
it’s 5 more points until you hit 55, then it’s 4/3/2/1 more until you hit 60.
Adding to what people have already replied, downranking is largely dead and is unlikely to have any impact at 60. You will always cast max ranks.
Downranking may turn out to be dead at 60, but it’s not right now. Even so, if your main goal is to get the weakened soul effect on the tank, casting PWS rank 1 is probably the go to.
I don’t see why you would do that though. Mana would have to be really tight and you get more out of it by casting a larger shield. We will see how it turns out. Disc is gona be spamming shields, specially in 20 mans. Not really dedicated tank healers.
