So, clearly PI is a problem when it comes to logs and class performance. Specs like demonology have been nerfed because of their amazing performance, but without PI the performance of a demonology warlock was fairly normal, they just scaled really well from the haste buff.
It also just messed up logging in general for dps. With some players never reaching upper 90% scores because they don’t get PI in their raid comp. It’s very clear that PI needs to change for the healing specs of priest.
PI should be a personal cooldown for all priest specs.
However,
Without PI there is a clear void for group utility for the healing specs of priest. So I thought, with priests having the ‘dark and light’ ‘life and death’ fantasy, why don’t they have a battle rez? If they could have a battle rez it would make them unique as a healer but also mean the impacts of PI could be changed to better balance the game for all dps in all raid logs. I don’t say this because I ‘hate priest’ it’s my main and my favourite class. I’m kind’ve sick of people fighting for my PI though.
I agree, leave us alone lol. I like to toss my PI around to whoever I want…. Hell, sometimes I give it to the lowest dps just to boost their morale a lil bit
Other classes specs getting nerfed because of PI and players getting harassed by strangers for PI is healthy for the game? There can be interesting abilities that offer group synergy without being as strong as PI is. Take Fae Guardians. The CDR is nice, but not overpowered.

Your main is a 9/11 2500 io Warlock. There’s no way anyone in a guild that casual even cares who you give pi too. The dps can ask the priests sure, but if there is some directive then you guys take yourselves way too seriously.
The lock was my alt who ended up getting 4p before my main, this priest. Did the same happen for you, or are just a FOTM Holy reroll?
Regardless, maybe if you spent less time acting like some wannabe elitist and more time actually looking into the numerous issues PI has presented this expansion, you’d know that PI had a larger effect on the Demo locks who weren’t getting PI in the first place, not that it should matter. No class should be getting balanced around what a completely different class brings. You fail to look at the big picture. The majority of the community, as evident by the multitude of posts regarding its toxicity on both WoW forums and Reddit, are all just wrong and you’re right? lmao, yeah okay. Full of yourself much?
There’s plenty of group buffs that add “something interesting to the game” as you put, without leading to degenerate gameplay. Abilities like Fae Guardians, Blessing of the Seasons, Conqueror’s Banner, and Windfury (though this should be raid wide tbh) and trinkets like Elegy of the Eternals and So’leah’s Secret Technique.
You talk like demo locks are so poor and mistreated when that is not the case at all. If they got nerfed, it wasn’t because of pi. Demo is a very a good spec right now.
And no, I’ve played a priest since vanilla. I’m not sure where you’re getting the idea that I am some elitist. I am not. Just because I pointed out your main doesn’t mean I was trying to put you down or something, I was just making a point.
If you are struggling as demo, maybe it’s not the spec for you.
Demonic Consumption was nerfed because of Demo being fed PIs. It was Blizzards way of toning Tyrant down without effecting other gameplay or touching PI.

I doubt blizzard would remove it but I am low-key hoping it’s turned into a talent so deep in the tree it requires you to drop a massive amount of healing/utility/damage to run it. Make the healers choose between PI or an Interrupt
Why not have a twins of the sun priestess talent in the priest class/hybrid tree? Its utility but not at the expense of you own dps. That way everyone wins
Sooo I was able to pick up on this notion even before I read the post. It seems alot of angst from priest talking about PI boils down to backseat gaming. I can understand how people having questionable reactions to who we give it to can be frustrating but at the end of the day its on whatever gamer to play their character and us to play ours.
Whenever this topic comes up its just seems like its a people/community issue rather than a PI issue is what I’m saying. I love having options, so I hope; because of all, this we don’t lose out on having the option to cast it on who we want.

Although to be fair it would make some sort of sense if it were reduced on healer spec by a little bit and baked into shadows CD cause shadow has way too many buttons to click for CDs though I’m not sure it will matter much with prism and unholy nova getting left out.
Eh. you cant please everyone. there will always be people who think something isn’t healthy. If Blizz listened and changed everything WOW would be very different.

Like i said in my prior post. this is a people/community issue. Not a PI issue. The two kept getting needlessly interlocked when people just need to stop backseat gaming.
EH. I wouldn’t mind this but I would feel its a cop-out. A good one but… I just think the choice of it now is impactful and doing this would lessen that.
Well. It all depends on how the trees are built and how they intertact with each other.
There’s supposed to be a class tree + a spec tree from what we’ve seen for 10.0. If PI stay, would be fun to have a choice in some way like this. But of course if it makes it so that shadow priest gets asked to spec into it, not a real option. I just think there’s somethings to do with it is all I am saying
