I find it odd that pendance isn’t affected from the extra ticks from haste
I believe Pennance does benefit from haste.
But you would need lots of haste/stacked to see the pew pews go faster.
Like when doing the Deep Holme 
dailies, when I get stacked haste mushrooms buff, it’s really crazy…and Pennance definitely channels ~300% faster in that context.
The benefit of haste is more for getting more smites in while holy fire is up, if using Smite glyph.
Smite spam also reduces Pennance cool down faster in turn, if using Train of Thought w/Evangelism+Atonement build.

well it does go faster there is no doubt on that. But it doesn’t have the new mechanic of adding ticks to the cast for channeled, hot,and dot spells.
Channelled spells don’t get extra ticks, its not a hot

I thought they changed that in MoP. I definitely remember getting like 25 ticks of divine hymn when I would get the haste buff from ultraxion in og cata.
that is the “extra” it ticks faster.
