Who here remembers those good old days of Priest Mind Controlling you off a cliff to your death in the open world or in BG AV40, or just plan running you in to a group of mobs… ahh… I am regretting not creating a priest now >.<

Yes, I am referring to the classics though, where we did not have much CC breakage spells, and you just see your character go down. MC just not the same powerful compared to retail and classic.
It’s better to wait in shadowmeld near a horde flight master, MC a player and have them smack it for instant death.

Oh my gosh, yes I remember my boat ride and I get this little timer with “Fatigue” and die in the middle of the ocean… xD
when AV came out i hid behind one of those tents and MC nubs so the NPCs would lay them flat. good times!
Wasn’t there some AV vendor that could be MC’d and he would just smash players brains in?

Give me all your MC tips. This is my first time playing classic.
basically the majority of the mobs/players can be MC’d. some NPCs come with special spells that are not available to players which can be a huge benefit to you/party/raid. one famous example is MCing the miner in BWL so the goblin could teach you how to smelt elementium.

I used to Mind Control Hogger because I could cast a spell that would go off before the channel officially cancelled, so I would buff him with Power Word: Fortitude.
That was fun.
Who remember the bug where if someone died where mind controlled the ghost would still be mind controlled. I had that happen to me a few times in BGs. You could see all the enemy faction on the map and you had to relog to break the effect.
I loved seeing the drain soul spell zip across the skyline when the warlock’s target ressed at the BG graveyard.
I LOVE this kind of stuff. In wrath they started to sorta do away with some of this, but if you used the ENG MC you could still get some really effective spells. One such Mob in the Sindragosa event could be MCed to kill bosses in seconds. They quietly patched that.
Im SO looking forward to MCing things and seeing what spells they have!
Oh man my most favorite MC usage I ever experienced was when I was on the receiving end of it. I believe this was either during vanilla or BC when I was on my nelf druid questing in Feralas. There was a pair of Horde questing there at the same time, a priest and I think another druid. The three of us just wanted to mind our own business so we left one another alone, but when we got mobbed we’d help each other out with killing adds.
In comes a shaman that immediately ganks me while I was busy with firbolgs. The pair tried to ask the guy to leave me alone but he kept coming back to attack me, so I killed him (and made him burn his rez and potions) while the pair watched. After he died, the priest MCed me and his friend healed me back up to full, all in front of the guy who hadn’t released yet. I still have a good cackle whenever I think about it.
