Anger, envy and jealousy are not the way for a Priest. Stop embarrassing us.
IMO there should glyphs to change the color tint of your holy spells. Gold can be the default but silver, green, and purple should be available to headcanon the source of your power to elune or whoever.
You argued heavily about the concept of misrepresentation.
The thread wasn’t purely about representation.
It was about its lore significance, undervalued concepts and portrayals – especially those to related themes … You even quoted me with the word ‘Lore Significance’ in your first reply; then later went on tangents about representation, which I had already addressed throughout the thread.
So yes … You did miss the point of my thread, you just don’t like that I pointed it out point-blank for all to see.
- At best I could say perhaps you misunderstood the overall thread, but your first reply that began this whole reply-chain set the tonality with bolstering hubris with: “Care to re-evaluate your position?”
And what that instantly showed me was a clear display of shear arrogance.
But hey Feel free to interpret fire as ice for all I care, there’s enough replies throughout this thread that can grasp the nuances & issues I’ve discussed.
Percent.
Honestly I couldn’t agree more.
Personally I’d love if they could give Lightforged Draenei ‘light’ visuals for their shadow spells and give Void Elves ‘void’ visuals for their holy spells — Give some justification to correlate between the race & the class.
How?
How is the ultimate bad, 6 of the main heros, multiple story arcs and plot lines NOT lore significant?
If that ISNT lore significant, what the hell is?
From google ai search/merriam-webster
" Lore significance can refer to the importance or value of a body of knowledge or tradition. Lore is a noun that can also mean a tale or narrative…
Lore can also refer to the background information about fictional characters and places in a book, film, or computer game."
Pretty sure stories, characters, places, and their history are all “lore significant”.
I already listed how.
Literally right away →
I’ve discussed the context of it throughout the thread too and the problems that depreciate the value of the class.
As for your tangent on semantics, I’m not saying they don’t exist altogether — I’m saying that ultimately it’s poor and there’s other elements in the story that deteriorate it …
Anyway, like I’ve also already said →
NE’s shouldn’t even be priests as they are in WoW. I get why they did it this way back in 2004 before they knew the game would blow up the way it did, but NE Priests should actually look more like Balance Druids. They are the Elune worshippers and should be using Astral and Lunar spells not Light and Shadow/Void magics. Balance Druids should be using nature spells.
Yea good luck on this. I’m not engaging any further, theres a clear disconnect on definitions.
I do see now that you dont actually want lore significance, you just want /different/ lore significance. Either way this conversation is far too exhausting for me to continue.
Not really, but off.
I’m not sure I should engage with you further, as you’ve established a clear display of hyper fixation on semantics then using sophistry-tactics on such to then dissuade from the various ideals of the topic & the numerous matters of what’s already been presented.
Even blizzard hates them its like one of the devs wifes played priest and they had a violent break up. Now they have a vendetta
