Never played a priest until BC. What can I expect for my leveling experience? What tips can you old hands give me?
Looking to heal end game, I’ll have a Mage alt at some point to help make gold. Unless you guys have tips on gold making with priesty? Thanks Classic family.

Points into wand specialization, use the wand as much as possible while leveling. I recommend shadow spec for leveling, pretty sure you can heal any low level dungeon as shadow, I know I did back in the day.
Tailoring/Skinning, make your own clothes, sell bags, sell skins.

You’re going to want to level with an emphasis on some of the disc and shadow talents. You’ll be VERY capable of healing dungeons, but this will help you solo grind.
Don’t go deep holy until you hit 60. Icy Veins has an excellent set of suggestions for speccing as you level. My own plan is very similar to that one.
For gold, tailoring/enchanting will be great, especially on these fresh servers where nobody has any bags or wands or gold.
maybe consider going tailor/chanting so u can make a couple green robes to disenchant so you can craft a wand 10 levels earlier, then drop proff for your chosen ones when wands start to world drop (at lvl 15)

wand spec and shadow - you can heal up to 45-50 fine and then respect into proper healing spec.
wand spec and spirit tap, not much else matters after that.
I wouldn’t recommend enchanting while leveling. It’s a real gold sink of a profession for a leveler since you’ll be disenchanting your greens as opposed to selling them to a vendor/auction house. If you’re a warlock though then go for it (free mount ftw).

It’s not essential, but Truefaith Vestments are BiS healing robes until like Naxx I think.

Yep…the wand is a game changer…the earlier the better.
first thing you want to do is level up enchanting for the wand or try to find a wand, shield and wand things to death. Run DM up to cookie and grab the wand, it’s best until later levels and will make things go by faster.
Dot / Shield / Wand - Repeat.
I do know that tailors can make some best in slot epics like Truefaith Vestments. Pre Raid Boss that is. Otherwise it’s whatever I believe!
if I remember correctly there is the truefaith vestments later on, but aside from that most everything else you craft can be replaces with a world/dungeon drop
Truefaith is BOP, so you have to be a tailor for those.
