Pride Holiday

Hi! While I’m grateful that Blizzard has seen fit to remark Pride with even a micro holiday, I’m incredibly disappointed that we have to pay 250K gold for a toy and nothing else from this holiday is permanent. You get more from Talk Like a Pirate Day or Day of the Dead than you do from the one two-day Pride event. Why is the title temporary? It’s just very disappointing. Please do better.

Darkspear Dash Tabard

Darkspear Dash Tabard is permanent (Warbound, to boot). I actually missed the dash (Gnome), but some our extended Guild-mates participated. 250k gold for a toy was a bit rich for everyone, though.

For those who paid the entry fee, and completed the dash, the 100 Travel Points was a nice bonus that definitely could be used for permanent “rewards”, if that’s what you need.

I know that a lot of us didn’t even catch the news about it until it was too late to participate, and others just had other plans that didn’t include a trek from Echo Isles to Silvermoon, even if you could mount up.

For the folks who did participate, we appreciate your taking the time, and effort, to show a little Horde pride and burn off some of that Troll fat.

See you all in Booty Bay on October 10th!

Ditto. In light of all the hub-bub going the other way, it’s nice to find a little respite for the soul, even if it’s in a fictional world, with fictional events (I couldn’t find many details about the real-world event that was running in conjunction, but that didn’t surprise me).

Any positive we want to come from this, we have to make ourselves, and it’s hard to do that if we’re flogging the people who helped bring this about. Perspective, in the form of specks and planks, really needs to be applied here.

Kudos to those responsible for creating what will hopefully be a lasting and memorable event, with future generations of WoW players gratefully remembering those of us now, who are making Pride a reality instead of a dream.

Looking forward to seeing you in Strangelthorn Vale in October :+1:

$20 is cheaper than some of the toys I’ve bought :stuck_out_tongue:

Hopefully you can find a reason to come back next year, and possibly join in with the spirit of the event. Three toed sloths running from “de Islands, mon” all the way up to the land of the “beautiful people” was a pretty good laugh, for most of our guild. There were some exciting moments running through Eastern Plaguelands on a level 3, but all in all it was worth suiting up, showing up, and drinking some unknown mystery beverages.

If we don’t see you there next year, I’ll drink an extra stack of buffs just for you.
