Pretty good job with SV hunter for Midnight

I appreciate you Blizzard staff for listening to SV feedback from the forums about how bad SV gameplay was. Flamefang pitch and boomstick are a good step forward. I like that the talent tree has more cohesion going into midnight for SV hunter. Thank you for removing the previous mechanic of Mongoose Bite stacks and giving us separate, individual stacking

Flamefang Pitch is a terrible name for the molotv-ish ability. It should be called TARflame pitch. Pitch is an oily tar (since SV hunters HAD tar trap). Not only that, but the fire should apply the DoT to mobs that are in / walk through the fire (covered in burning pitch or clinging to their legs, etc). Flamefang sounds weird, fire and pitch have nothing to do with fangs.

This would help with positioning and placement issues. If the tank has to pull mobs out or around, the DoT component keeps dealing DPS without a DPS loss. That would be preferable and if not, halve the duration without losing the DPS. If you can’t halve the duration, drop it down to 5 or 6 seconds. Finally, perhaps a tar-trap based slow (at least while burning) would be very QoL and thematic.

My only other concern right now is the throw axes synergy with the Pack Leader tree. I’m not sure if it’s going to be good or not. Consider adding an option for burning axes / razor axes (fire or bleed dot) choice node.

Please don’t leave Pack Leader with the Shell Cover node for Midnight. Give us something else please, it’s such a bad node.

I will be maining SV as my dps melee for Midnight
