What is the prettiest or most colorful and vibrant mail set?
I’m having a hard time with finding nice mail transmogs and am hoping for some wonderful pointers

For real lol I mean there’s this set I am wearing and all the recolors for a ranger looking hunter, but otherwise it’s slim pickings for mail.

A lot of the Legion sets are pretty vibrant. I think every shaman set from Legion was pretty good (the Tomb of Sargeras one was a bit boring compared to the rest but it was supposed to be a TBC throwback), and a lot of the best pieces can be used by hunters for transmog

Eagletalon battle gear and its recolors are by far one of the best mail sets ever made (and a very good set in general).
I fing no full set fits that. With mail it’s mix and match to make something descent so far.

for hunters i think the normal nighthold set looks really good if you want a ranger fantasy get a Sanctum of domination quiver to go alongside it

No idea, but if you want cool mail gear go for the WoD ranger gear, there’s a set from dungeons and one from PvP for honor marks and they go well together. Still my favorite set in all of WoW, but I am a sucker for simplistic gear.
Alliance side Arathi Warfront Tier 3 armor is most vibrant and BiS looking set.
And you can mix it perfectly with Trial of Valor normal mode mail to make it look “hunterish” :
This topic is why classes need to be able to mog the different armors they can equip. That way, a player can mix and match for some interesting combinations. Things like tier sets should remain locked to specific classes of course.

I’m not wearing the shoulder but this pvp set and the purple one from cata are really good looking sets, also a big fan of most shaman ones.

Dragonrider is pretty sweet.
Really though there are heaps of amazing mail sets. Things are subjective of course, but I think damn near every mail set in SL was amazing.

Mine’s pretty, if you consider lots of red, orange, bits of metal and fire to be pretty.
Only shammy got cool ones. And mainly only in WoTLK. I remember in retail I was doing lots of raids and RBGs on my hunt and I got this big ugly eye on my shoulderpad that would always look around and be all creepy and also had one on my helm as well. So I tried to mog out of it into a better looking hunter set piece… took me a long while to find a new cool set. Only got a few that match.
Plus the HWL bow is nowhere near as cool as the GM (Grand Marshal) bow for Alliance.
Sometimes your faction will determine how cool your armor is.
Grand Marshal set way cooler than High Warlord set.
Good mail mogs? Roll a shammy.
