Press and Hold Casting not working

Partly I think it’s not working as I expect it to, partly when it does work, it stops working.

No macros, no addons, no fancy computer software mimicking macros or anything like that, just a spell from my spell book placed onto my default UI action bar and that’s it. I press the button, sometimes it casts once and stops, sometimes it casts multiple times and keeps casting.

Sometimes I am doing my rotation, hold down a button, press and hold my next spell and sometimes it casts once and stops, sometimes it doesn’t even cast at all.

How I think it should work, effectively is to just mimick me spamming my buttons down. Or at least fix it so it works everytime when I am swapping buttons and using other spells, because right now you need to basically spam your second spell and then when it starts casting to hold it down, which is a little silly for some classes where you may only have 2 charges of something, may as well just spam the buttons myself.

I hate press and hold spells, but they do seem to work for me, not sure what you’re doing wrong. Some spells completely cancel if you jump before letting go of the spell button. The Earthen Racial can be canceled by jumping or moving and you need to press and hold, then let go when you want it to go off.

Not so much the press and hold spells, but the press and hold casting option in the menu, the one that supposed to let you spam cast things like frost bolt, that option is crap. It’s supposed to let you just cast spells without having to spam, you know because the playing base is getting old, but it just doesn’t work sometimes.

When it first came out it was performing worse than spamming your buttons. Have they fixed that yet?

Well it doesn’t work now, so probably not.
