Preservation -- Why 30 yards?

that could cause some major problems honestly… in range of Reversion and echo but nobody is in range of Dream Breath… 1 stack is trash, 2 stacks is king. Especially in 5mans

UHHHH they actually got the best update of all classes so far in every patch.

Preservation got TA from 6second CD to 15second, but mass shielding, sounded like a nerf but once put into practice, its actually a mana save for the same effect and not over powered.

Better in raids, but personally infinitely worse in keys and PvP, but that’s just my opinion.

But I agree the delivery system for echo and shields is better, but the cd was nerfed way to much.

This really needs to change.

I’m just not seeing a fair compensation for this handicap in any content that I play. Compare healing on Prevoker to druid and it’s not even close. It’s even a struggle to do more damage than them let alone healing.

depends on the player honestly. Ive seen druids stomp in the charts but also ones that dont stomp in the charts at same ilvl.

It also depends on the fight, spamming emerald blossom on terros was pulling 75-90k for me but once i swapped to reversion play style i never looked back.

Same fight the best druid ive seen was pulling 65-80k

The fact is druids just have both better range and mobility than Evokers. It is hard to understate how valuable both of those are.

There’s not one thing that they excel at like most other classes. Preservation is competitive in Mythic + content but that’s about it really.

Druids do better healing and priests can do better damage, Preservation is just mediocre and I just don’t see why anyone would play it over another that’s been around for a decade and a half with way more guides. I’m sure there will be plenty of low skilled Evokers, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

Paladin is probably the worst but they’re getting soooo much attention in the next patch, way more than I’ve ever seen focused on one class. I wouldn’t be surprised if you started to see more Paladins than Evokers topping the charts overall as well.

You get used to 30 yards. Seems fine, until you get some Hunter, Mage, Warlock, Priest that insists on max distancing everything. I love all melee groups in M+, screw other ranged. :confused:

this is not true. Presto is #1 healer atm if you are at the high end of healing, Druid is about mid level Presto and bad Presto is mid druids.

IF you need tips on how to improve your healing there is a couple things you can do. Looking up world #1 and finding out what they are doing on fights is really important. the top 20 usually rock the same talents.

Leveling out your stats towards the top 20 will also let you understand stat priorities a little better. Crit is great… but its not our greatest stat… its a stat we settle on via trinkets and off spec gear. Having 0 is no value, having 20ish is fine, having 30, not really worth it.

After that, Remove emerald blossom from your bar… trash ability until atleast 10.0.7. All of your healing will come from lifebind and a heal after life bind, be it healthstones, health pots, emerald communion. Dream breath (should always aim to do Dream breath any way after VA.

TA on CD, keep reversions active in times of no damage.

stasis on pull, 2 charges of TA prepped before pull and a TA after pull will not only hit the first major mechanic in 30seconds, but let you start the fight with 6 reversions out (9 if you echo aswell).

Living flame enemies not allies. Living flame is a bit of a trap, it heals for alot, but its value is trash vs Reversion Echoes. Casting living flame on enemies will net you a chance at essence burst. 4Piece makes this much more important as its instant cast. (ITS NOT FREE)

no to melee caster every class introduced to the game is melee ffs. And you have pally and monk for that melee “caster” thing.

yeah but every class is following the generic , magic at ranged style.

There are unique classes in games that break the meta, like the necromancer from Daoc, the WitchHunter from Warhammer, Any class in ESO. All of these are considered melee casters. The reason the necromancer was unique is because it was a Pet Melee caster. You controlled a pet, it was brokenely fun, and if you were bad at it, an absoulte joke to kill.

We already have a million unique “ranged” casters in the game and 2 Melee healers… why not make a Melee caster? Outside of “the class is a ranged so it should be a ranged cos we havnt got one before” argument… its really not a valid reason to keep it at 25yards and keep it as a caster.

“I am out of range.”

“I must get closer.”

“Too far away.”

Ugh… Constantly hearing these error messages during a raid.

I do find it more annoying in raids, but even then I can deal with it. It can definitely be annooying in M+, but even there, so far managing.

The ranged that don’t know how prevokers work will get less heals. And I love all melee M+ groups, they are easier to deal with. Screw ranged.

Sounds like you enjoy being in melee and would like every class to cater to that whim ask blizzard to redesign dk, dh, or monk to be your melee caster. Those of us that like ranged finally got one…leave it alone.

Sounds like you want every caster to feel the same and generic. Offer nothing new, Meanwhile you get all these flashy animations from Fists of Fury, Demonhunter dps zipping around everywhere, firing eye beams off.

Cast bar 0 feet away and cast bar 15 yards away the riveting change. Suggest something actually new then. Your suggestion adds no difference but I am in melee as a caster :joy:

Had three melee classes and evoker and new empower mechanics more new than here another melee, with renamed buttons doing the same stuff the past three classes

I agree with all that, but feel like the devs just dont care. They feel their weird philosophy is better than beta testers.

Yeah they class of evoker feels like an afterthough brought to just rake in the quick cash for the expansion box hype. Nothing more. The overall machanics of the class are pretty clunky and have big issues

Because Blizz thought it would be quirky but it turns out making a healer have 10-15+ yards less range than the ranged they’re supposed to heal just doesn’t work. Unfortunately Blizz will likely never admit they made a mistake
