Preservation Evoker Nerf when?

Preservation Evoker’s are going to dominate the meta in DF if nothing is changed. I know Blizz wants those sweet pre-orders, but hopefully they don’t wait TOO long to balance it.
This is coming from the Evoker discord channel as well, they all know Preservation is OP at the moment.
In case anyone wants to jump on the wagon.

Imagine all re-rollers will roll Pre Evoker just for them to get nerfed… Amazing though

All the shamans need to go somewhere. It’s a breath of fresh air having actual choices when I’m getting trained by the zug zug melee.

It really seems we have almost achieved balance.

Everything outside of arms and MM have been the target of nerf complaints.

Honestly the lvl70 beta is pretty balanced, but there are still a few specs that stand so far above every other option that its laughable. Preservation evoker is one of them, no other healer even comes close. Honestly doubt we will see nerfs to them til well into season 1/season2.

DH and Demo lock are prob the two other specs towering above every other atm(at lvl70).

Is a handful of specs that are way below everything as well tho.

Nerf Warlock and DH… then the game will be balanced. That is all that needs to happen.

I suspect there will need to be some minor mana/output tuning with some healing specs, but in general I do think nerfing Affy/Demo/DH (and the Evoker 1 shot if it still exists at lvl70) would make the game fairly balanced.

nerf DH first then we will talk

Pres Evoker definitely super good but it’s also the most fun I’ve had Q’ing arena in a long time.

Let them be good for a season or two man. They’re the class of the expansion, they should 100% be S tier.

Other then maybe looking @ shroud, pres evoker is fine, and should honestly be a model for how other healers needs to start being adjusted.

Pres evoker is not even remotely close to the top of the list of things that need to be looked at ATM so kinda random that you’re calling them out…did one of them pre renewing blaze your go and you got mad they didn’t die or something

stone skin totem should turn your earth shield into stone shard shield, dealing thorns like dmg to people trying to melee you.

Cries in Arms Warrior

Problem with Evokers is they have HPal burst and throughput mixed with MW’s endless mana.

They put out huge proactive and reactive heals and finish the match at 95% mana. There’s no way they can just be left like this.

Same can be said about playing my DH. It’s fun when you can just log on, turn off your brain and farm honor kills.

Is no issue with them being strong, but they are clearly over the top right now. Far beyond other healers.

MOST other healers are actually pretty balanced. Monk, disc and holy seem very good at 70 and Hpld with cooldowns is ok but falls off hard without cds, and Rshaman needs some tuning love for sure.

Preservation just blows all other options out as they currently are, because they are over-tuned in every area. They 100% need to be tuned, not gutted or anything, but tuned.

devastation one shot nerf when. On the beta at max level its a one shot too.

How so???

This argument that classes are released into an mmo purposefully overtuned for some kind of monetary incentive is always a ridiculous one that I have historically never subscribed to.

Monk was not grossly OP for season 1 of mop as an example. In fact they were actually a bit undertuned.

But even more than that, actually stop and think about this argument for a moment. Do you think super casual tourist wow players that come through for a little while on a new expansion are in any way whatsoever following the state of balance in the game at max level? Checking in on wowhead for blue posts and pts patch notes?, are these players likely asking themselves “hmm, is evoker going to be OP? I sure hope so or else I wont buy the expansion!” and on the opposite end of the spectrum, what about the life long “wow is the only game I play” people? The very players who decided to preorder DF the day it was announced just on principle. Do you believe the people that are dedicated to raiding or arena are going to opt out of an expansion, or sit out a raid tier/pvp season because the new class is grossly under/overtuned?

The balance tuning of evoker has absolutely no bearing on enough of a player count to have any measurable impact on sales.
Anyone passionate enough to base their entire decision on buying wrath or legion because they could finally be as close to playing as arthas or illidian as possible, were never going to truly care about class balance and had their mind made up well in advance, as such, those casual wow enjoyers that find the idea of playing as a dragon super appealing, are not basing their decision to purchase the expansion on whether or not they are objectively OP in end game endeavors. And everyone else who are invested enough in the endgame, for which class balance would be relevant, are going to buy the expansion anyways.

The history of blizzard releasing overpowered new classes rests solely on some degree of developer ineptitude.

No thank you. Hope blizz leaves them the way they are

The problem isn’t that they are S tier. It’s that they are GIGA BROKEN SSSSSSS+ tier. A new class shouldn’t just get to ruin the game for everyone so you can get free wins.
