There’s a twitter post from Fwoibles from last week saying basically that they are trying to modernize some of the classic code and prevent the “code rot” from it just sitting there without updates. It’s probably a behind the scenes update again.

Pre-patch is still months away. Also, they wouldn’t drop it without announcing it.

We’re approaching the 6th week of Naxx. Now is too soon for pre-patch, but not by much. I think we’re staring down the barrel of an announcement in a few weeks and will see it go live in December. I just hope we have more than 2 weeks like last time.

We are just hitting the 4th week of Naxx, it’s been out a month.
In game-time, there’s a big difference between a month and the month and a half you claim.
I will bet you all my Anniversary gold that we don’t get a prepatch until Jan.

Ok, 4th week of Naxx but with raids already on their 5th lockout.
Doubt it will release until maybe Feb.

The Midnight beta. We’re on the same infrastructure as retail so apparently we’re included. weeee
They cannot bring it in unannounced unless they won’t allow clones/transfers to Era. The prepatch changes everything from stats on gears to leveling to specs. Unless they backup the characters before launch of prepatch they won’t be able to fix it easily if they do want to get rich on era clones. And people will be mad they haven’t prepared the toons that need cloning.

I doubt they are going to let clones transfer… Dual spec and people crying they can’t use their alternative gear unless they keep respec’n lol.
If you wanna stay in level 60 world.. there is already a place for that.
blizzard has never officially announced that anywhere.
I don’t think this is happening regardless.
If these servers are to be TBC era servers then that option will likely come about when/of they advance to Wrath but not this initial vanilla to TBC.
Prepatch not until January.
