After the prepatch is over will they make the heirloom ring unattainable or will they do something like dragonflight did and just added into the expansion proper?
Probably unobtainable for the sake of FOMO as usual.
But nobody knows for sure. They might bring back someday, somehow.
I believe they mentioned in an interview that there should be a way to obtain it later. There are small-scale Memory events you can trigger in the expansion proper, so it’ll presumably be a similar deal as DF.

One can hope. It’s a good ring. The only other heirloom ring that can used as a second ring comes from the STV fishing competition.
It will come back as a twitch prime reward in the year 2035 during the World of Starcraft premier.

Are the rings from WoD naval activities not “equippable” along with this pre-patch heirloom ring?
They’re unique-equipped. That’s why I said used as a second ring.
So, for my awareness, the unique equipped nature of the WoD rings also applies to this pre-patch one? I’ve always understood “unique equip” to translate to you can’t double up on the same base item.
Just so you know… The DF prepatch trinket is currently available in dragonflight lol.
No. This one is also unique-equipped, but the WoD pirate rings are unique-equipped as a group of items. My current alt is using a WoD ring and the new ring.

We don’t know. Everyone suspected the ring from the Dragonflight prepatch would be made unavailable, but it was kept available via the primal storms.
I suspect it will be possible to earn in TWW, but it will be a bit more difficult than in prepatch. That’s just speculation though, they could very well make it unobtainable. But since it’s an heirloom I suspect they will do something similar to what they did in Dragonflight.
The 3 WOD rings are unique-equipped for the entire set, you can only equip one of them. The only second heirloom ring you can use now is this ring, or the dread pirate ring.

I got my dread pirate ring at the end of 2016. While I was at work. This was back in my support days (I still work for the company but I moved into QA 2 years later). I was helping someone fix the VPN on their corporate laptop when I won the fishing tournament and got my ring.
That is hilarious 
10/10 multitasking, definitely deserved it.
Every time I’ve tried since maybe legion? It just never started. Pretty disappointing because I’d watch videos, read up on it. So I wasn’t going in blind. Then nothing lol.

And the trinket from last prepatch was made obtainable in DF, I can’t see them not adding a way to obtain it during TWW as well.
