Yep it all points to the 6th. Few weeks of pre-patch is the plan this time around.

then why make it a release build if it’s not gonna come for 2 weeks?
It’s a release candidate, not the actual release build. Several BFA patches have had the release candidate come out around 2 weeks before their launches.

There’s often multiple release candidate builds before we get to the true final one. It’s a good and normal sign that we’re seeing them now a couple weeks in advance.
We don’t KNOW the date.

That sounds about right. For me, prepatches tend to get old fairly fast.

I’m not gonna lie, from what I’m hearing about Blizzard devs leaving in droves, the prepatch being out SUPER late (3 weeks is unheard of), and the expansion itself looking nowhere near ready for a release this early I’m thinking of not even buying this expansion. In all honesty I was just waiting to see if it was gonna come out on the 29th so we could at least be on par with BFA in terms of release but at this point we’re gonna only have 2-3 weeks of prepatch and an expansion so unfinished they feel the need to release TWO SEPERATE PATCHES!?
I think people are gonna wake up real quick and realize SL is gonna be another WoD with a completely unfinished zone upon release and then after just one major content patch they’ll suddenly move onto the next expansion.

Could be as early as this week, could be October 6th.
Folks that keep saying that there’s always a 2 week warning haven’t really been paying attention, because the shortest warning has actually been 8 days. Got to keep in mind that we’re getting 2 patches this time around. 9.0.1 and 9.0.2. Which is not what Blizzard normally does. In the past the pre-patch build is also the first patch of the expansion and all that’s needed is for Blizzard to flick the switch that enables the expansion content.

I assure you it won’t be on the 6th. My wife’s boyfriend’s best friend works at blizzard and he said it’s definitely NOT going to be the 6th

To be honest we don’t know for certain. It could be even closer.
Every time someone asks when Pre-patch is happening, Blizzard delays it for 30 minutes. At the current rate, it will be released in 2031.

Blizzard just dropped their PvP finals trailer.
Event lasts 26th and 27th. So id say anything after 27th is game.

There’s certainly a potential for a delay of pre-patch with the current Khadgar glitch and the realms in queue to be merged.
I can imagine they’ll want that straightened out before diving off into the pre-patch.

No. We don’t know the date when it will come out. It has not been announced.
