Prepatch Purgatory

With out any venom in my words, prepatch always feel like purgatory. Didn’t really need five’ish weeks to test talents so what to do now? Hope evoker comes a bit sooner than listed.

Before its said: AH is cold, gearing irrelevant, pvp unbalanced. etc etc

I heard there are other games out there, have you tried that?

Classic WoW

If you’re not motivated to play, just find something else to do in the meantime.

Its 2 weeks, youll survive.

With all the problems we have had in the last week I am glad that they released the UI/talent trees early instead of on the 15th with everything else.

Hopefully by then they will have the bugs worked out so we focus on ejoying the event

I find myself agreeing with everything you said. I am leveling alts on alliance to determine what class talent trees i enjoy the most.

prepatch isn’t for you, its for the devs to fix things that end up broken or abused before real launch

Like others have said, trying other games might be a good idea but if you still feel like playing WoW: Prepatch is a good time to find a guild or community to tackle content, planning out your characters(trying all the specs to see what you like), getting your inventory in order maybe tackle some collection content. Overall its a bit of a preparation phase, hope you find something to do.

I am using the prepatch to hunt down all the bugs and flaws and report it to the developers.

Careful, people in the forums don’t like pro-active behavior lol.

They can’t stop me.

I appreciate the super relaxed opportunity to delete obsolete weakauras, clean out my bags, banks, get rid of old and/or broken addons and familiarize myself with the talents and systems of the new expansion.

Which in this case seems to mostly just be professions.

Can totally relate to the feeling. I left after 2 months of SL at launch and didn’t return for a reason. The last thing I want to do is dive into the systems that I couldn’t be bothered with right at the end of their lifespan.

Not to say I don’t appreciate the patch though. It’s good they start looking at these bugs asap and leveling with the UI and talents is fun.

Imo Devastation Evoker isn’t ready but Preservation seems to be doing pretty good now. They probably need another 2 weeks to tweak Evoker some more according to not just me but multiple testers.

I wouldn’t be surprised also if Evoker got a lot more balancing and tweaks after the 15th as well based on feedback from the community.

Doom 3 is what I am playing! So fun.
