Prepatch is on PTR. Shadowlands in October?

So patches are released on the PTR a month before release usually. Prepatches last about a month. This means October (or early November) will likely be the Shadowlands release if all goes smoothly. October would fit with the spooky theme.

I cannot wait for prepatch

I seriously hope they get some bug fixes in. Beta is still a mess at the moment.

Awww yeaaah!

Doubt any bugs in SL content will be fixed with prepatch, unless they’re bugs to the underlying systems.

Realistically speaking, everyone had about a 50% chance to be correct since it’s too late for September and December is problematic for a game that needs server maintenance.

Still, my money has always been on November.

Wait is it playable now?

Not yet, realms offline… Maybe later today?

Oh god, Activision gonna rush this dumpster fire onto the market like they did with BFA aren’t they?

Please Blizz take your time and get it right, Shadowlands is still looking like pre-alpha with some of the class and covenant balance.

I was thinking Pre-patch in October and release in late November.

Ther was no way they let us deal with 8.3 another full month. They either had to release prepatch in September or bring a 8.3.5 earlier.

PvP season/M+ is also going already for almost 8/9 months probably among the longest in history

That honor always goes to WoD unfortunately.

But yes it does look like Late September/Early October pre-patch date now.

Considering there are still 3 unused Gladiator Proto drakes which are looking WAY cooler than all we’ve had they easily could have sneaked in another season

Grain of salt required. Most pre-expansion PTRs last between 1.5 and 3 months depending on the severity of changes. You can’t treat them like typical patches because they’re not typical.

Put another way, if they released 9.0 in September to chart a mid-October SL release, they are in no way ready.

That stopped 8.0.1 how? The point being they seem to be driving a date… not quality.

BFA’s pre-patch was still on the PTR for just over 1.5 months. SL’s pre-patch will not last only a month.

I mean they’re done basically with all the major features they’re basically only focusing with future builds to balance numbers, fix bugs until SL releases

My point stands. They seem to be driving a date, not quality. If they were driving quality they’d still be in Alpha.

Exactly this. I swear this is looking to end up being the same.
