So with that being said, for the remainder of prepatch should those values be higher to compensate for the reduction in prepatch time or just reverted to that? Imo they should be 2 or 3x the values but curious as to how others feel
This is some really good information. I hope Blizzard reads this and fixes the honor system soon.
Bump, this looks to be what should be shown to blizzard, that the blanket nerf was right for bonus honor but there is still something else wrong.
This all looks correct, and it highlights where there still seems to be a bug:
Currently on pre-patch, we are all Rank 1 Privates/scouts, so we are getting minimal honor per kill when we definitely should be getting more from kills.

I played durring the inital pre-patch on my druid and my rogue.
I was able to get HWL gear on both (horde side at the time).
The point of pre-patch was partially to catch most of the WOW pop up to something close to Naxx teir 3 so there was some semblance of a leveling of the playing field going into TBC…
What has occured is the exact opposite as boosts will not be able to reach gear parity, hell old characters likely won’t either in the time allotted.
The other point of it was fun!
You know, the game is meant to be fun? When the gear is only valuable for a couple more weeks Pre-patch was legitimately the most fun I had in wow.
Blizzards choices have destroyed what could have been a moment of pure fun and made it a torturous grind.
Who else feels like shorting blizzards stock in response?

thats fine, but my weapon shouldnt cost 19.5k and the off hand shouldnt match that amount…
Lol, all the blizzard employees on their burner accounts just went real quiet. Theyve been defending the nerfs so hard…

Hope this gets fixed, it’s honestly a shame how much fun pvp was happening and now has become a chore.
It’s crazy how fast nerfing the honor that didn’t hurt anyone in the game but didn’t fix the bg booting people out that hurt peoples enjoyment of the game, it’s been a trend through out Classic. With world buff griefing, botting, dungeon boosting, and more.
I’m disapointed, but not really surprised by Blizzard anymore.
The day my guild that i’ve been playing with since phase 3 dies is the day i’ll be free from this company, i boycotted it for years until i came back for Classic i can’t wait to not give them my money anymore and not have to deal with them and their mind boggling decision making.

Thank you for the post. Pvp went from an extremely fun way to gear up for TBC to being a chore overnight with the hotfix. Super disappointing.
