People thought Cata was bad, they thought WoD was bad, they thought BFA was bad. I am calling it now, this expansion is the death of this game and the end of an era of gaming.
Dragonflight made substantial improvements to the gameplay and playerbase, and was well received and gained steam. Something difficult to do with a game such as this, but they throw it all away.
Good luck to anyone who thinks this game will survive, this is the end. At least retail.

Not me! I loved Cata! SO much. Though it was my first expansion experience. But Cata is way better then BFA (so boring). Better then Legion (too grindy with AP). And probably better then Dragonflight, as I played WoW a lot more back in Cata days. Dragonflight was fun for 2 months then got stale real quick
I doubt it can beat shadowlands
People hate on Shadowlands. 1 of my favourite/most play expansions
They must be the collection of the most useless devs in the history of humanity if they make something worse than Shadowlands

I think you are exactly right. Although millions of people will be happy with the next expansion, a few hundred will form an echo chamber telling each other how terrible it all is over and over until they come to believe they speak “for the community”.

Legion and WoD already happened.
What they did so arthas and Sylvanas and creating this villain that orchestrated everything for countless years and reducing many well done characters into some peon says all that needs to be said about shadowlands.
Doubt this. These talent revamps have already made combat more fun than DF–at least for SV.

Okay… so where’s the doom and gloom coming from?
DF was junk. I’d even take SL over it. The new direction the game is going in is terrible.
There is no expansion they could come out with, short of us returning to the Shadowlands to start the faction war back up, that is worse than Shadowlands itself.
Now that is a bandwagon I can hop on!
