Hey all.
I’m not really interested in classic end game, but TBC was my absolute favorite and I plan to prep a character for it.
Other than hitting 60, maxing professions, getting my epic mount, and stockpiling gold, what else do you guys recommend? Is that the main checklist I should focus on, or am I missing a key component?

Get that naxx gear. Great for leveling to 70 and karazhan.
ooo, that would be a challenge to work my way up to.
I guess my following question is if mount cost gets cheaper in TBC? I might hold off on epic if that’s the case.
Pretty sure mount cost drops down to about 700g including training.
ATm warlock and paladin mounts (if you’re playing one in TBC) works out cheaper to get now.

Likewise for the AV Rep mount.
Gear to level in/with and consumables to level with are about it, behind the things you’ve already listed.
Beyond that, you may want to research leveling paths /strategies (you didn’t specify the character you intend to play, a tbc reroll would have more prep in this regard, as well as leveling gear to farm up)… And finally, other tbc prep stuff like familiarizing yourself with the rep /attunement process, desired quest /dungeon loot lists, and farming locations /plans (and backup plans) are things you can do now.
I personally plan on rerolling elf-ret like I did back then and already have mats for professions, consumes for 0-60 at least, full gear sets, and a pretty firm plan for leveling pathing. I’ve also already researched a number of farming methods /locations for tbc so I can get caught up to my guild and into the raids hopefully by the end of the second week.
