Prep for TBC

Healers, if servers roll over, stock up on Golden Sansam and Brilliant Mana Oil now while its cheap

Has there been actual conformation about BC yet or how it will be implemented?

No, but not making TBC, and not allowing us the option to continue our character progression, would be a huge missed opportunity for monies.

Eh, I don’t think it will matter truly sub wise long term if they allow people to continue characters or not.

If people aren’t prepping for tbc, they’re doing it wrong.

No need. I healed all of TBC and WotLK without using a single consume. Just demand they put you in the spriest group.

Pretty much this. You can do some things but dont need to over consume espcailly if they are not going to be bugged fights. Some super-mana pots prob end up being finer.

By offering both types of servers, they will maximize both profits and player enjoyment.

Offering only Fresh Start will lower subscribers, and decrease enjoyment for those who stayed.

Doesn’t mean everyone else did, though. No harm in preparing and making some money off people who care about their performance more than you do.

Wait, actually…

EVERYONE LISTEN TO DÖT. NO ONE BUY GOLDEN SANSAM. YOU DON’T NEED IT.

I hope they only allow a limited amount of gold to transfer over.

Fill your character screen with level 60s. Make them all 300 tailoring/alchemy. When bc hits, level them all to 68 and their profs to 375.

Make spell, shadow, moooncloths, and primal might on cd. You are now rich and will never have to farm again!

uhh if you think I’m prepping for something we won’t see for at least 6 months and that means I’m doing it wrong then so be it. My prep atm is Naxx

Imagine doing all this only to discover that TBC servers will be completely separate with no character transfers allowed. Yeah, I’m waiting to see what Blizzard intends to do before I do anything.

Then watch as TBC is fresh realms with fresh lvl 58’s to stop exactly this kind of behavior effecting economies the day of launch.

Imho: waste of effort. Read up more on TBC.

Different markets, faster progression, different rotations, different raid build.

Massively smaller world to farm resources in. Meaning layering will likely be a persistent thing, which will cause other issues were one guild can get 10 kills of a world boss if they are first on spawn, to abuse layering. which effects demand on economies and resources being flooded into them.

There is no prefect win going into TBC. But I think fresh is probably there best shot at making it enjoyable for the most amount of people.

I agree. The progression ramp is steeper by design to make new TBCs have similar footing to the classic players.

Funny how the old vets are gearing up to be disappointed by their ‘advantage’ of playing sooner. History repeating.

If they’re separate with no copies/transfers, anyone interested in playing TBC is either going to quit because they don’t get to keep their progress from Classic or is not going to care that their gold was totally wasted on a version of the game they’re not interested in playing.

Plenty of people aren’t even playing classic that are clamoring for TBC here. I know plenty of people that will be going to a pve server if TBC happens from pvp servers cause most likely the population different will be huge. Especially since faction won’t matter for pvp queues at all.

I think most people that want TBC will play TBC regardless. Will they lose a few if copies don’t happen sure. I don’t think it will be as many as broken economies from day 1 would cause them to lose however.

I would like to continue my characters in tbc but do agree there should be some way of preventing people from bringing hundreds of thousands of gold along
