Leveling a sub rogue right now and premeditation only seems to work like half the time. Is it bugged or am I missing something about it?
as i understand it, it does not work during subterfuge, only stealth and shadow dance. what this means is that if you want it to work properly, you have to make your first global from stealth shadowstrike, not cheap shot or anything else

Still getting this issue. I dont have the Subterfuge talent. It just doesnt work half the time.

I did some testing just now for ya (with training dummies and duels).
It triggers during shadow Dance, but only once.
It will not trigger during subterfuge (regardless of how stealth breaks).
IF you take the subterfuge talent
it will trigger when you teleport to the target with SS, or open with SS while next to the target.
ELSE IF you take a non-subterfuge talent
it will trigger when you open while in melee range with SS,
but it will NOT trigger if you teleport with SS.
my opinion:
These seem like design choices not bugs to me.
I still love this talent, even if its not good for raiding, and has some limitations

I get all the design choices and stuff, my issue is that it just occasionally doesnt work. Like, I’ll be out of combat, go into stealth, get the premeditation buff, and shadowstrike an enemy, but get no slice and dice.

I’ve seen the same thing. It seems to work about 70% of the time. Overall it seems to be a very convenient talent for open world and solo questing but not great for much else.

Premed isn’t functioning at all for my character in stealth or shadow dance. Has no effect, at least today.
Subterfuge post open and the not triggering from teleport-Shadowstrike without Subterfuge definitely sounds like a bug.
The problem is obvious. Premeditation is dropping immediately when Stealth drops. Which, is probably to fix some other issue. As, it used to just be a permanent buff until your next Shadowstrike. Running around out of Stealth with the buff was kind of silly. Simply fix, make Premeditation activate a 3s timer when Stealth drops instead of immediately dropping.

Has anyone submitted a bug report for this? I assumed I was doing something wrong but thinking about it, premeditation is being very unreliable and only randomly working.
