I’ve come here today to advocate for some changes to be okay…
Like separating premade full group Warsong Gulch queues from single or duo player queues. Waiting 15-20 minutes for a queue and then getting matched with a full guild group decked out in full epics while my team is a rag tag mix without voice chat or coordination every single match is not fun.
I used to be adamant about #nochanges but my god the PVP system is bonkers and is making me want to quit at this point and I’m not even trying to go for rank.
Welcome back to 12-15 years ago! You shouldn’t have been surprised by this. You can’t just selectively say what you want to change, and then still be adamant about #nochanges anywhere else. So do you want changes or not? And do you really think Blizz cares enough to create a whole new Q system, that was never made before in the past, to this current version of WoW Classic?
Should’ve rolled alliance LOL, solo queuing on ally side is dope, literally no horde premades, insta queue and horde just get dumpstered on when numbers are even plus paladins. Your tears are delicious indeed!
I’ll go for that if they separate wPvP into layers where solo players only see other solo players and people who group only see others of the exact same group size. All of the same level, of course.
Cause you know, we want to keep PvP fair amiright?
Not quite sure how a timer to WSG would some how kill Classic PvP. Tons of other crap didn’t exist in Vanilla and here we are.
The answer is convincing your guild and friends to reroll alliance with you. A horrible faction imbalance is the cause of all these issues. If half of the horde players complaining about premades rerolled alliance the issue would be solved, and it would make world pvp much better as well. Atm horde is the pvp faction. Don’t demand big daddy blizz fix a problem completely created by the players.
Community problems require community solutions, isn’t that what classic is supposed to be about?
I dug a little deeper and it appears that 20-25 min timers were actually not added until Wrath. So unfortunately, it has no relation to Classic Wow. If we argue to implement something from later expansions into Classic, then that will open up a lot of other requests to implement other Expansion QoL to this version. While I personally wouldn’t be opposed to that, it will in fact, not actually be in the spirit of Classic.
Server size ~5x larger than Vanilla.
Spell batching.
Trade-able BoP loot.
Subpar GM support.
Legion Client/Legion Server.
Updated Linux OS.
List goes on.
As I said, in the “Spirit” of Classic. Backend hardware/OS is irrelevant. Legion client is relatively more stable, but granted it introduces some bugs and other unintended perfomances that are being addressed. If you encounter Tradable BoP Loot, that sounds like a bug more than intended function. Report it. If Vanilla back in the day could support 5x larger population it would have. Just the limitations of the day.
But are you saying it’s fine if we incorporated Transmutations, Microtransactions, Heirloom gear, etc. into Classic, and still call it classic?
Wouldn’t work. The reason people run in premades and stomp pugs is because it’s better honor/hr. A fair fight takes longer, and is thus a waste of time and honor. On top of that people do it so they can feel like they’re good. If you really want premade vs premade you should be advocating for RBG’s with a separate reward structure, and leave the legacy honor system for pugs only.
Look at what twink only BG queues did in retail. It destroyed the twink community, because they don’t want fair matches against other twinks, they want to dominate “lesser” players.
Not true. Its actually the opposite now then it was 12-15 years ago. Back in vanilla i rarely went against a premade and i qued a lot of warsong/AV. Now in the year 2020 everyones trying to premade so almost every warsong i que now as horde i go against a premade after waiting 6-15 min ques and get completely run over do to my team being pugs vs a premade. If they dont take a look at this at all then A lot of players will just not pvp, i mean lets be real here how many people do u think r gonna wanna come home from work wait 6-15 min warsong ques to get dumped on by a premade 90% of the time. I get people get worried about changes in classic but some things like this need to be looked at. The way people play games now compared to 15 years ago is completely different hence why there r so MANY premades now compared to back in the day. It would be healthy for classic wow and the community if blizz took a look at this for a possible fix.
you mean people figured out how to socialize and group together because they have similar interests? Its not like anyone is forcing you to PvP. BTW WHY NECRO A 2 MONTH OLD POST?
