Premade Blitz Fix

Nah, my time is mne to do with as I please.

Now, once I am in a game, I have some obligation to my team, for the duration of the game. but until I zone in, nope.

It’s not disrespectful to have a life past sitting at the keyboard.

What in the world are you talking about. you can’t group as 5 in blitz.

Also AFAIK i’ve never been punished for missing a Q for RSS ever, AN I have seen those qs do the sme thing , it tries to make a game not everyone accepts, it tries again usually 3rd or 4th it makes a game.

It’sd whay I am not that worreid about going AFK too much while I am Qd, I can almost always make it back to click accept, it almost never starts a game on the first pop. It takes a few for everyone to accept.

It was like that for 2 seasons, worse because Q times were much longer.

People searching for any excuse to blame someone else.

yall have lost the plot, it’s a BG not a bank account.

Because some people are imagining that others are abusing the system

So do I.

But it’s about 30 steps from my kitchen sink to my KB, and so when I hear the sound and clean my hands and step livlely back I still miss it sometimes.

How would you feel if there was a 20CR deduction for not accepting a rated queue?

That’s the kind of thing that might cause me to quit the game. Not even hyperbole.

To finally get the mode I have been wanting to play from the beginning, and then add something completely unprecedented as a fix to an imaginary problem?

A rating loss for not joining a Q in time?

Wholly ridiculous.

Thank goodness we will never see such a thing.

Oh, I agree that it is.

Technically, the problem it solves is the perception that the queue is being gamed.

It would also be a nail in the coffin of claims that Blitz is being synced.

So it’s sort of like Security Theatre.

That’s not a problem worth making the game worse over. Not even a little bit.

No, it won’t.

There are those that will look everywhere but inward.

Yeah, it’ll never be implemented, I was just pointing out a system which I could be mostly happy with.

Yeah, true, but it would give us something that we could definitively point to which prevents multiple missed queues from being gamed.

Honestly…I can’t even tell if it’s truly happening from reading all the back and forth.

From personal experience if I had to bet I would say it is. I’ve had some of my rbgb ques get reset over 10 times before the match starts. In those matches we lose so fast to such perfect play it does seem incredibly unlikely that those “random” people aren’t somehow communicating.
Also in those same matches they seem to be filled with toons that are doing things that they shouldn’t be. Just lots of questionable activity. I had a rogue sap my hunter in stealth who was immune to knock backs and I couldn’t mark for the entire match. I just that example cause it was literally yesterday. We lost that match 1500 to 100. Our entire team had 1 cap and 0 kills. the statistical improbability of that just …is off the charts.

If it is happening there are a ton of solutions that they could implement which is the only reason I think somehow it’s not actually happening. I could come up with at least two different ways to end it immediately off the top of my head so for them not to is kinda strange. It’s definitely an interesting situation.

Oh by the way…the fix is simple…

You get to miss or decline exactly one que per 24 hour period. If you you miss or decline more than one que in a 24 hour period your entire account is locked from pvp activity for that 24 hour period.

Done. Problem solved.
Next.

I was most recently talking about a CR loss for missing a Q.

Your idea for the reQ debuff would only be annoying and innefective, not something I’d quit over.

But it would not work, because the imaginary synchers would have their debuffs synched anyway.

“OK everyone we have 3 minutes til we can all q again go bio now”

I have been around long enough to know how it always goes.

If it is really happening, Blizz has all the data they need to learn how to detect it. If they decide something is going on that they want to action, they’ll wait until they have many accounts tagged and give them all a holiday 3 weeks before the season ends…

Different times of day play differently,

RT gonna random. Stop crying.

At the very least, it would reduce the suggestions of insane punishments, like the one above you.

I don’t think it would.

This place got under my skin today, I think cause I have a cold, but OMG these people cry and cry.

So I made a bit of a ranty post and afterwards, I kinda laughed at myself.

I swear we were having these same arguments about people trying to synch in WC3 RT.

So it will never end. The silly suggestions will be with us always.

I dont believe you or most pvpers would quit wow over losing a smidge of rating being afk, you might queue and then go afk less. If the rating loss is sizable enough to care about, its important enough to get out of queue if you need to be tied up doing other things.

If you’re not dodging queues on purpose the penalty is a non-issue.

lmfao yeap

This

“I’ll finish wiping later!” Deckarcain says, poo dripping onto the carpet as he rushes back downstairs to his cave.

Wouldn’t this massively inconvenience someone with an overactive bladder and adhd who is in a wheelchair? Like what if they have to urinate frequently and can’t get back in time but they’re 2800 rated and queues take a really long time to pop so they sit in queue for an hour or so with nothing then they have to go to the bathroom and get distracted while peeing. Should they just lose rating? Or was it all a big conspiracy by big pharma that put them in the wheelchair and gave them ADHD and an overactive bladder because the other person was 2600 rating and they didn’t want that other person to succeed?

Some of ya’ll are out here WILDIN with these admissions of how little you have going on outside of this video game.

The bottom line is blowouts happen at every level of the bracket. It’s not a conspiracy, your team just got outplayed. It happens. Take the loss and queue up the next one. Or take a break.

If you think the average wow pvp’er in this day and age is going to accept being punished for missing a queue than I have a bridge to sell you.

Then you would play the game while you’re in queues and not be in queue when you’re not playing the game.

Dude only works in absolutes. People like this are insufferable IRL.

we can make the queue pop longer along with adding penalty for missing it. I have no issue with that. My issue is specifically that we have a system in place that allows for indefinite queue ‘fishing’ with zero repercussion. Im open to any solution that addresses this. Im not specifically tied to any one idea. Right now, adding a stacking deserter debuff, similar to missing queues in other MMOs, is the best idea that ive seen mentioned. I originally brought up rating loss, no different than 2s,3s, rbg, but i’ve changed my mind on that. its not necessary to get the job done here.

Truely. Maybe I take life a bit too seriously. Other players have mentioned that repeatedly not getting to go into content they have told wow they are ready for 4-6 times is annoying.

Similarly folks leaving Solo Arena(shuffle) early because they rage quit wastes players time. Even with an associated punishment for doing so, players still leave Solo Arena early, costing other players time. Having a deterrent to failing to join/leaving early is like minor fines for poor driving habits. It wont stop everyone from inconveniencing others, but hopefully it reduces the quantity of incidents.

If I queue, I decided to ensure I am ready to accept and enter. I respect your time. I know I cant force Blizzard to incentivize others to respect other peoples time. A longer no requeue debuff could be a less painful option compared to losing rating, but if that was too short, it wouldnt have the same result that a small rating deduction could provide.
