Premade BGs

To get into a premade you must be geared, to be geared you must be in a premade… makes alot of sense, I just simply cannot wait to queue WSG and see all my teammates standing at the GY, only to do the same myself soon after. This is ridiculous… at least people cant farm us and just cap so we can requeue and do it again next time.

If you think you’re going to get geared from running BGs you’re sorely mistaken.

sure ill just get legionaire sword, scouts blade, sergeant cloak, rune of duty from not pvping. I want to pvp, in bgs (a game mode) not just wait every hr or two for an ashenvale fight. Its as simple as this: I dont care if premades exist, but people need to chill on the requirements to join.

I’m so glad I’ve lost 30 WSG in a row as horde… it’s great solo queuing into endless alliance premades. Randoms should not be playing premades. I shouldn’t have to form a premade to enjoy PvP. some people can’t even get into a premade group because of everyone saying “you need better gear?” Or “you’re not a disc priest / OP hunter…” community / design is ruining the PvP experience

Lol what gear from pvp is that impactful. Gear comes from outside bgs. Rep is gained way faster from ashenvale event… not wsg.

Start your own premade??

no shot you got 30 games in a row and they are all vs premades.

idk, the bis sword/dagger/cloak?

Not always easy to start your own premade… it’s easily solved with random q only battleground. Shouldn’t have organized PvP vs randoms…

I hate the premades too and wsg pug vs pug is some of the most fun I have playing. That said if you want the gear you can do it in a couple days camping ashenvale vs probably a month of wsg and that’s if you win 50% of them

That’s just WOW nowadays. You get same issue with PVE. You need to be BIS to join a raid that gives you BIS.

Welcome to world of neckbeards.

It definitely got worse after and during COVID. Most of them figured out they could work from home hardly do any work and still get paid.

You want to play Wow? Sorry bud you got to become a Fat neckbeard. No casuals allowed.

I agree… the pug vs pug has been very enjoyable. The alliance chain gang disc priest hunter groups are getting old… just send two pets on you and you’re dead in a few seconds.

Honestly, facing a premade isn’t much worse than most pug v pug battles. Most players are terrible and have no idea how to play WSG. I’ve AFKd out of way more pug v pug battles than I have even seen premades.

being an Alliance pug is really bad right now.

Can be a 10m queue sometimes just to face a sweaty world buffed premade.

Well could be an hour and a half long queue and get same thing. That was Horde in TBCC and during classic.

I’ve always been used to 20 minute + queue times. All my friends play Horde only, yet I like both sides. Could always gear my alliance toons faster. 1 minutes queue are the best and for once horde has them.

Neither of these things are true.

cool personal experience you’ve got there

Well firstly, most pre-bis is from Dungeons or Quests. There are a couple of pieces from PVP rep, but it’s way faster to gain rep through the Ashenvale event than through WSG. So you absolutely don’t need to do WSG to get geared.

Secondly, in my (anecdotal of course) experience most premades are simply /tradechat pugs and there are very few if any requirements, and little to no communcation. So, it is also not a requirement here.

Of course, if you are level 25 and put absolutely zero effort into gearing but are expecting others to carry you through content to gear up, otherwise you’ll complain, you may run into issues grouping with people.

The way I would personally go about solving this problem, if it were one that I had is to look up a BiS or pre-BiS list, or create one based on searching items in Atlas Loot or through the Wowhead Items Database, then start working on obtaining those items.

An example of one of these items that I’ll use to illustrate this is Ancient War Sword which is a reward from the Alliance quest Defeat Nek’rosh. Of course, as a warrior when I was gearing up, I could have chosen to just farm one-handers as well, since it’s probably easier to find a group for Deadmines and SFK than for this out-of-the-way and difficult quest, and I needed to farm some other pieces from those instances anyway, but nonetheless…

What I did was I completed the prequests, and then grouped up with another warrior while we tried to pull Nek’rosh. We found it to be absolutely impossible for the two of us, so I started asking in /general chat and also in /LookingForGroup if anyone wanted to team up with us for this quest. We formed a full 5-man party of level 25s, and were able to complete it, together.

There’s a similar story behind Sparkmetal Coif, while most of my other pre-bis came from Dungeons or lucky drops while questing.

Good luck gearing up! If you happen to be Alliance on Crusder Strike, lemme know if you need a hand with anything.

I played 17 games of WSG today. 13 were against premades. 1 was a bad enough premade that we won. Otherwise the pug v pug winrate was a beautiful 50%. I really hope blizz does something
