Oh yes I agree.
Nobody is playing this game for magical nostalgia. People are lying to themsevles. They’re playing bc it’s fun
And I agree with your post. People are asking for a population/culture split.

And just to add, the bracers coming early is definitely part of it, but so is the level cap.
What we are seeing is literally nothing new to fresh servers. We could have no level cap and this will happen as soon as we hit 60.
People grind BGs. Same story
there’s going to be more crying than ever when ppl go up against ppl in BWL/AQ gear and a team of r10-14s
it’s just not a problem that can be solved short of making your own premade
I already mentioned that more pugs would offset the 33% reduction for groups that continue doing it.
As for the queueing 5 and 5, who cares? It’s slightly less convenient than having a full 10 man, and that might be just enough of a deterrent to some people.
The reason nothing is being done is because every solution is over thought until a possible problem is found, and then it’s dismissed in it’s entirety. It’s like never moving your chess piece because it might be a bad move… Hurry up, the crowd is leaving, bro.
Yup and to top it all off, premades will persist longer thru the games lifespan, because they are stretching out the rank from level 25, all the way to AQ40. So they’ll be the common theme till naxx. Lol
Before they dwindle away after the first few gens of r14s
No it really isn’t.
Here’s what will happen under the 5 man cap scenario
You make a NA premade discord with 200 voice channels.
Two 5 mans get game number x
Two said 5 mans are now in a voice channel representing their game # and they are now a 10 man premade. Nothing changes
Aggrend isn’t a big ol dummy. He knows what rankers are gonna do
which is hilarious because as someone that only got r8 in og vanilla i know that FEW ppl got r14 in vanilla. you had to wait in line. with HUNDREDS of ppl waiting and coordinating for months, even years. and you all had to help each other get r14 before you acquired the right to drop out
at least no1 can complain pvp in sod isn’t like classic. well, except for AV spam
again i will say make the rewards for ashenvale go to exalted and or make the rep gained from losses larger and incentivize people to play how they like and the problem will dry up quick.
why penalize people at all when you can get more effect with incentives?
no need to do so and all it does is add bad press.
actually i heard a rumor that blizz harvests casual tears that r then sold on the black market to pay Aggrend’s salary.
so as he says any change needs to be carefully considered aka is unlikely
The impact it would have several phases from now is completely irrelevant when they can simply remove the debuff when that type of advantage would actually matter
There’s no need to find a permanent solution when it’s a right-now issue
I mean…
First, give me a valid reason why the debuff needs to exist in the first place
State the goal of the debuff, and then provide proof the debuff will do what you say it will
That’slikely what Aggrend is going to ask you, if you asked that in person. At least that’s what I would be asking.
I am not Convinced in the slightest at all that this debuff is going to do what you say it will except extend the play time of rep farmers
Instead of having a debuff, I would suggest having a buff for solo players or giving solo ques packages with a chance at extra rep/badges or something like they did in TBC
Pathetic. Learn to be more social in game and group pvp with people. Demonizing teamwork, sad.
I mean yeah this is a pretty good idea.
Just punishing one group is pointless and creates more problems.
People will always game the system to avoid punishment
They just need a solo queue, and a premade queue. But the premade queues needs to have some extra incentives because it intrinsically will be a longer wait between games.
I personally don’t believe anyone will play it anyway because the overwhelming draw to pre-making is pug facerolling. However, I understand the need for the infrastructure to be there anyway.
Thought I would slip in here and ask a quick question. I am a little confused, so people do AV for the rep, and WSG for the PvP rank?? Is this right?!
i dont know why people want to punish other players so much other than some vendetta vs them for whatever reason.
make the ashenvale event rep go to exalted and all of this is solved. if you want to be even more cool about it make wsg reward more rep for even 3-0 losses and its solved even more.
1 of those is a switch they could turn on easily . the latter is maybe a bit more work to do.
incentivize people to play how they want and you solve the problem outright and the only people doing wsg will be the people that want to for whatever reason.
stop trying to poop on other players and make the rewards such that people can play how they like.
I mention in a other form an easier solution, allow 5 rep for every Honorable kill in Ashenvale until exalted, this would spice up and to my understanding achieve the purpose of Battle For Ashenvale along with providing another venue for people to rep grind to exalted. This will release the issue for Solo players in WSG and not punish premade leaving honor grinding to BGs yet provides rep grinding another way.
This could be applied to Hillsbrad Foothills for AV and Arithi Highlands for AB. Wouldn’t even be a big lift for developers to implement.
could do this too though just letting rep go to exalted in all of its forms would be preferable in my eyes.
i can say with quite a bit of certainty that 80% ish of people doing wsg are only doing it for the rep and would bugger off and do ashenvale till exalted if they could.
solve the problem .
Yeah theyre not changing anything as they already mentioned. Wasted breath guy.
