I’m calling it now: by 2 pm PST they’ll announce another two hours, then by 3 pm it’s another 2, totaling it 12 hours. Cause turns out there’s more problems they created.
7 pm PST is when they’ll bring servers back up, followed by non stop lagging on servers
After 5 p.m. and not before a host of forum user meltdowns, dozens of threats to quit WoW if it’s not up by 3 p.m., and at least one person going through the seven stages of grief in rapid succession.
I hope it lasts for 14 hours
Tomorrow at 10am EST. Give them extra time frakers are human let them do what they need to do and not have panic attacks over it.
Some people just want to watch the forums burn. You. I like you. 
Seeing they mentioned the infrastructer of things I’m not expecting to log into game until tommorow at least.

Im just not planning on playing today, so no big deal.
If they get stuff fixed, I’ll take it as a win regardless of what time it comes back up.

As a social experiment, id love to see it be down for a week. A month even! What would happen…
Since they mentioned essential fixes, we’re not playing until tomorrow.
I predict that I will not be playing anymore WoW today (got 45 mins in this morning before shut down).
I shut my laptop down at 6-6.30pm central. So, sometime shortly before/after that time is when servers may come back up.
Im betting on a shutdown cycle like we used to have around game launch

what if just for fun, Blizzard announced on forum they would be shut down for an add 20 hrs and this forum site would also be going down in 10:00

You know, I often feel a little lonely on Tuesday after the game comes back online. An extended maintenance would really keep me entertained the remainder of the day
well since my theory is this is a maintenance plus new game event, they have to do an online internal ptr and go over all the functions, adjusting the software and hardware as needed.

Hehe. While i like the theory, they had a blue post saying it was server maintenance. Like, literally, theyre doing hardware stuff from what I understood.
aye but they could be doing both, and are just mentioning the other. omitting details, as it were. heck they may always have to adjust such things before a game release. we dont know cause they usually arent trying to hide info about a game theyve already announced
