So with the road map out, looks like we might be following the same template of SL S4 where tier set and rewards were pretty much the same between S3 and S4 SL. Tier sets were introduced back in SL S3, but in DF we have had a tier set for each season.
I do wonder how they will approach this for next season…either extending S3 meta into S4 or scrambling it up by having a choice among different combinations for set (less likely this option but never know with Blizz)
What’s your thoughts? Personally I hope we get something fresh, rewards included but that might be a fantasy.
The recipe for a dead season begins with requiring people re-gear but without the promise of new rewards.

Blizz needs to just detach rewards from CR
- Casual players need lots of participation rewards to keep them actively queuing
- Exclusive rewards should be tied to a rating not influenced by inflation. Like your ranking amongst players of your same spec.

Yeah it should go back to percent.
Last season 4% of players got gladiator, meaning 25% of gladiators would have been rival in legion - not even duelist.
Wait 4% of ALL wow players or 4% of people over 1500 in 3v3 Arena? Or even 4% of anyone with at least 1 3v3 played?
Not sure how it was calculated, saw a data graph on Reddit showing it.
Had an old friend from legion come back to wow and I asked him to form a team to get glad but he didn’t think we could cause he still thinks glads are the top .5% of players, where as some seasons it was probably closer to top 10% like shadowlands season 2.
I think not being percentage based really takes away from the achievement because I no longer know if the player is insanely good or just top 10%
A battle pass would work for casuals but I think people are 50/50 on on that concept and not sure how they would add something like that with subscription requirement. Pretty sure most pvp games outside of WoW run on battle passes for their seasons.
A battlepass is just a seasonal or monthly rewards track. They don’t have to be paid for.
Basically there’s a list of accomplishments you’d knock off every season/month, and you’d get rewards per each accomplishment. (Win X arenas, win Y Bgs, queue Z number of games, etc.)
It’s not a bad idea, but I’d rather have a cosmetic pvp vendor with new rewards added every season. Previous season rewards would stay on the vendor. Currency for the vendor would be rewarded from PvP wins, with more earned at higher ratings.
They’d probably put requirements in the Battlepass like Epic BGs and Qing as a healer

Attained by 0 percent of the wow population. Hmm.
Yeah I’m not sure how it was calculated.
Maybe it was 4% of the players shown on the ladder, where as that from wowhead is percent based on all profiles, even ones who aren’t max level
Yeah I wouldn’t be against that, but as you know businesses like to capitalize so they would add some premium version of a battle pass to either charge for skips or a premium tier sheet of rewards. I am really curious with now with Blizz being absorbed by Microsoft if we’ll see anything impactful changes in terms of improving overall numbers.
Yea gladiator is prestigious enouph for sure. 0 percent of wow population. Game participation is low, looking like season 4 will be also. But some of the elitest around i guess want to keep it dead, like that dragon who keeps going on about free rating and rewards yadda yadda.

No, of Wowhead profiles.
On top of that they round it down.
How does wowhead define profiles? Like wowheads own site profiles? Not current wow profiles?
Dunno.
Comments on the Unchained mount kind of funny, though.
