The way people play the game hasn’t changed just the ranking system.
One is player gnerated the other is official changes to curb bad player behaviour(Cheating) and the negative impact that the old system had on people’s lives because they couldn’t face the fact they’d never be able to hit Rank 14 unless they quit their jobs and got divorced.
Nobody will a full time job ever completed the 6 month daily 8+ Hour grind to R14 under the old system.
Doesn’t matter. The old system is gone and cannot be used as an argument. You are using things that happened 5 years ago and bringing them up for no reason
So what? Who cares? I didn’t complete it either, Im not on here getting mad about it 5 years later
People are still playing the new system the same way.
That is forming premades specifically to stomp all over solo que people because they don’t want PVP to get in the way of their PVP grind because they’re not doing the PVP grind because they like PVP.
They’re doing it for the gear.
It’s bad for BG health in the same way that twinking is bad for leveling BG health.
There’s reason blizzard broke twinking by giving them their own BGs.
That’s also the reason why Twinks stopped playing.
They couldn’t go into BGs and get easy wins anymore so it stopped being fun.
Nobody in this thread is mad chief.
Not even you, though you are super defensive about how abused the old system was for some reason.
This is what the game is. You form groups for pve, you form groups for pvp. For some reason, there are always randoms who think pvp is a solo experience
Do premades give up? yeah sure some do, more commonly you see this after they are at a point where they cant win on AB resources or they are down 2 flags in wsg. Who cares? Pugs do this too - and alot of times they just flat out give up before the gates open. So this isnt a premade or pug thing, its a mindset thing. This fairy tale that premades are win trading, dodging and etc everygame is absolute nonsense I have been ranking for years on every server and this is less common than you think it is unless theyve already lost
being social and forming groups is anything but bad for game health. You just dont want to lose as much as you do, thats all
They are absolutely atill playing bro lol, there is a giant community discord for twink wargames at 19, 39 and 49
You are absolutely mad, you are still bringing up things from half a decade ago like some sort of angry ex gf. Perhaps learn to be social and make some friends this time around when it comes to BGs
As someone who ranked on era with a premade and tried the 5man/solo when the sod premade changes were applied, i’ve got to say i prefer the old premade system.
Catering to casuals or antisocials by limiting premade presence is actually significantly delaying the rate at which u can farm honor.
It’s like saying people who own cars shouldn’t drive because some don’t have one.
What’s next? Epic mounts are now unavailable because not everyone has one and it isn’t fair to those who cannot ride faster.
“Let’s all walk slower for the sake of equality.” Is actually tyranny.
Equality of outcomes means no matter how hard you try you always reach the same outcome as someone who doesn’t try. Thus negating the drive to try. It’s ironic cause that’s an observable case in communism.
Equality of opportunity is a true “fair equality”, whereas everyone has the option to succeed if they are motivated, no barriers are placed to block a person from “getting ahead”, which means anyone can gain an advantage should they try.
Casuals are casual by choice, there is no need to destroy the opportunity to go beyond the casual level, that is not what an mmo is supposed to be and is once again, ironically what retail is about.
Went on a PvE server because the spirit of PvP died long ago. I feel bad ganking and I rarely see a 1v1 as most players just wait until they’re 10 levels higher or wait until you have mobs on you.
The world boss stuff and premading just created a game that optimized every ounce of fun out of the game to pursue the best gear so that they can stand in town and never play again realizing the entire journey was a massive sweat fest.
Classic plus is needed as the playerbase is not what it used to be. It is sweat city where people spend their lives on it.
PvE. Raid. Once you get gear to be relevant, then just play some BG’s and enjoy your life.
You literally prove stomping pugs by one statement you made. HPH. That goes down significantly when facing premades all the time. It's why win trading and if say in wsg first cap get the rest of the win. ITS HPH. Which facing pugs is the best and why the previous sentence makes sense. Same reason the premade vs premade didn't work because it's not about competitive pvp, its about HPH and fighting pugs is the best and why queues are dodged by many, first cap wins the game as they are let run the flag for hte next 2. You create a premade under the premise of not having "morons" and structured groups is exactly what competitive play is about but you subvert is with saying HPH and requiring being against pugs.
He essentially said your 2 points of why you think premades are formed are not true.
He said it’s not to get rid of morons, and not for structured PvP like you suggest.
He said the real reason for premades is for increased HPH and therefore the point of making premades truly is to stomp PUG’s as that offers the highest HPH.
Premades should only be able to match up against other premades to solve the issue of ridiculous stomps and premades dodging other premades for higher HPH.
That’s fine. Does he have evidence to support his claim or is it just “what he feels”?
Yes I would like some data/proof. Because the reason myself and my circle groups up is for just that, and for fighting actual teams that know what they’re doing
Most premades, contrary to popular belief, play their games out. Sure some dodge completely, and some give up after 2 caps or not enough nodes, but that’s not really a good argument when PUGs do the same thing, even when against other pugs.
If you want to separate qs, you need two separate reward systems, not the same reward system. Sort of like random battlegrounds vs RBGs, the reward structure is different. Otherwise you make it worse for both parties. SOD showed that
Without that, the end goal is still the same - so that means the thing that matters most are the lower q times.(HPH, if you will)
He’s saying logically that proves it’s not about morons or fighting actual teams that know what they’re doing, because fighting teams that know what they’re doing lowers HPH.
Hence why premades dodge other premades, to increase their HPH.
So if you said “the thing that matters most are the lower q times (HPH if you will)”, that means logically that you do NOT want to face other premades that know what they’re doing and play those games out because that leads to much lower HPH.
You can be in a game full of people who do not know what they’re doing and it will be less hph than losing to the better team. Pug games are by far and away the worst hph, unless those pugs give up instantly vs better team
Some do, a lot don’t. Pugs do the same thing. So it’s a player mindset issue. What about the teams that do not dodge?
Believe it or not, people like to actually play the game.
That’s what you want to take from it sure.
People who want to pvp don’t dodge, and a lot of teams don’t. People who don’t want to pvp dodge. Who cares ultimately? I come across dodgers, and then I come across real games. I have no complaints
When I solo q, I’m more often in pugs full of throwers than real players, though they do exist
This also isn’t the old ranking system with 1.5 million caps. When your cap is 250k for the week for rank 10 or whatever, there’s really no excuse to throw games for hph when you can cap on 2 days. People throwing in this new system just don’t pvp
