I’ve been simmering on Aggrend’s latest tweets.
Combining his recent messages about alternate experience paths, and STV being a blood bath, my prediction is that killing players in STV will grant experience.
I’ll be back Feb 8th to brag.

That would be sick if true.
I would pvp from 30-40 instead of spamming SM if that’s the case.
I would join the meatball raid and spam living bomb until I hit 40
Doubt it, games never implement this because it’s too easy to exploit
Who cares besides world first runners? Boost is exploited in era and with 80000000k bots running in the maps i don’t think blizzard would care about people leveling with world PVP, also bgs are always exploited with afks when You can lvl tru them, wpvp is more organic.
I would love to see this, wpvp deserves all the love.
Wonder if they could implement something where you do not get any experience from a character you already killed for at least an hour.
I doubt since PvE servers would be at a disadvantage unless you were auto-flagged in the zone.
Also the exploit possibility as others mentioned unless there was some sort of decaying exp amount (first kill like 400 exp, second 200, third 100, 4th 50, etc…) with the top amount equal to a mob of that level.
If you rolled on a PvE server then you should be at a disadvantage for a system that involves PvP. Not like it matters what people do on some other server anyway. One could argue that PvE’rs have it faster right now because you don’t get into PvP battles in contested zones.
I’d say it would be pretty hard to exploit if:
No experience granted in a raid group. To prevent mass raids, limit this to 5 mans and lower.
No experience if you kill the same person you already killed, unless 1 hour has passed.
Some sort of cap per hour. 120 kills? That’s 2 kills/minute which is not unreasonable legitimately. This would be to prevent some streamer from lining up 200 people and AoE’ing them all down.
funny every time I argue flight should only be modified on PvP servers, I am told they cant do that because the meta would make everyone flock to PvE servers…
The next pvp event will still be garbage. Imagine thinking we go from ashenvale F tier to STV S tier, lol
Players will just complain about 30 mage 10 priest raids death balling the zone. You’re better off spamming SM and hitting 40 in full prebis
Blizzard does not know how to make pvp events good. It needs to be a natural phenomena with a natural gain
Actually, the event is to find and kill hunter pets to collect blood.
The devs decided to teach the community and allow you to collect Arathi Basin reputation, all in one fell swoop.
would be mostly a nothingburger irrelevant change in my opinion because leveling for any relevant/serious player will be about a day of /played time.
so just completely irrelevant generally speaking. plus the leveling bracket for STV is generally 35 to 45. (we cap at 40 for now), and there are plenty of other leveling to be done outside of STV from 25-35ish. It’s really small fish we’re talking about here.
I hope for the PvE players they come up with an alternative solution.
I wish the phase pvp zones would auto flag.
Also, the exp needs to be worth much more than a mob of that level. 1) It’s harder to kill a player than a mob and 2) Players wouldn’t be as available.
Honor from repeated kills stops at 25 kills if I’m not mistaken but that might be BG only.
so effectively alliance will be level 40 because they just form raid groups to be sociopaths while the horde will just kind of exist
sounds fun
Yeah. Only Alliance does this. Horde never does the same things Alliance does.
I think you might have it right. This would make sense since I’m hearing they are going to change the terms of service on multiboxing. So people won’t be able to level by just killing their own accounts back and forth.
Sauce?
