The Void Elves could be the Catalyst for some of them to Again Rethink their loyalties to the Alliance, while some of them would stay and eventually join the void elves others would leave and rejoin their fellow brothers and sisters in Silvermoon seeing how the Alliance wants to Practice Evil Magic, even the night elves(shandris) think the void elves might go corrupt, why won’t the rest of the high elves?
This could be a good way to end the High Elf Debate.
I actually think the opposite might be true. I speculate that you will see the high elves and void elves eventually become one fighting force. You’ll see void elves in the silver covenant and possibly high elves wanting to transition to the void (if it’s possible to replicate the void transformation…it was unique).
The Reason you find both High Elves and Blood Elves in Telogrius Rift; the act of becoming a Void Elf is in and of itself a declaration of loyalty to the Alliance. Those who were going to run back to Theron already did. Exiling Umbric and his followers was also an excuse for Lorthemar to exile a number of Pro-Alliance elements from Silvermoon as well.
I’ll be fair though, Void Elves got the most skin-tones out of all the original 4 Allied Races, should be thankful they at least gave them the pale white option, but I wouldn’t mind if they got more and are completely different from the BE ones.
True, but they have done nothing to help their friends during one of their most recent wars.
Funny you mention that since, ever since the Sunwell was cleansed high elves have been freely going to silvermoon taking pilgrimages there whenever they want for years, even worked with the horde during legion.
Aside from the legion the most recent war was MoP to which they where major players. And they are still all over in BFA as part of the 7th Legion.
As of the most recent appearance of the Sunwell the High Elves are no longer there. It’s likely the faction war and what happened in Lordaeron changed that.
So then Velen. And Vol’jin went out of his way to help the Alliance quite in Cataclysm and MoP.
Guess Draenei are no longer Alliance and Darkspear are no longer Horde.
Or World Ending threats require people to put aside their differences.
They never said no so they aren’t against it either.
The only thing was that Allied Races where already in development.
Funny how they said nothing is set in stone and asked for more feedback and suggestions in the most recent interviews.
Right read the history, I made some legitimate points on why high elves should NOT be playable but I guess all posts that don’t agree with the HE megathreads are trolls right?
I made my post on that thread, but the reason we make these is because all our concerns get buried (most unresolved) in the HE megathread.
I’m thinking this too, something that could make the High Elves revile their current allies, or something that could make the Alliance pick whether to support the void elves or them.
The difference is, the leaders/races who worked together before went back to their respective faction and decided to directly help them in BFA, they may not be properly represented but even the Draenei, Dwarves, Gnomes, Lightforged sent respective Named commanders to lead alliance forces against the horde. Even the Pandaren showed up en masse with the 7th legion in Vol’dun. Whereas the Silver Covenant didn’t even bother to show up or send an army to help the Alliance Forces when they needed them most.
There were 7th Legion Portal/Shield Mages too, but were there any who Directly fought against the horde During the warfront? were there any in the campaign? Dazar’alor?
“Just Play a blood elf” doesn’t mean yes or it’s in development, and the fact that they said Allied races were already pre-planned before BFA even further proves that High Elves aren’t going to be playable anytime soon, because they said that before these High Elf Megathreads happened when Void Elves were about to release.
Good thing there is literally nothing that can do that or to suggest that Alleria would do anything.
Even if the Void Elves did try anything (Which is about as likely as the Orcs deciding goblins should not be
Wow. Like 5 pandaren showed up.
Meanwhile the Silver Covenant that fought two Wars last Xpac is recovering.
Where is Sunwalker Dezco? Guess the Sunwalkers left the Horde.
Where are the Warsong Clan? The Shattered Hand Clan Rogues? Where are the Magesters?
It’s almost like the focus is on the Kul Tiran and Zandalari stories.
The ones directly getting bombed at and handing out all the quest aren’t involved? What?!
I guess Gnomish and Goblin Technicians aren’t involved in direct combat don’t count in your mind either?
No offence but your highly specific criteria are bunk.
“There where heavily involved in the last Xpac and even had their Leader appear in a Short Story as a Lead-Up to this X-Pac but they haven’t shown up in the few months lore wise despide other members of that race playing a key role so they don’t count anymore!”
It’s as far fetched and a ridiculous idea as the Silver Covenant getting wiped out at Teldrassil.
“Anything is possible, just no plans in the near term”
Funny, he wouldn’t say anything is possible as his leaving thought on the subject unless “Anything is possible”.
And geven the context of Void Elves coming out and not that changing it gives a lot more context to the discussion.
Funny that High Elves are still showing up despite the Void Elves supposedly replacing them.
Almost like that idea was completely made up and they have little to do with each other.
Here’s the thing, if High Elves weren’t part of the Alliance and didn’t have a high potential to become an Allied Race, you wouldn’t have made a thread to try and get rid of them.
I really don’t know why anyone in WoW would be okay with the Void Elves doing anything. Warlocks used to be taboo because they could summon a demon, and demons are bad, sure. Void Elves are the embodiment of the void and threaten Azeroths existence yet they’re just fine and dandy to join the Alliance no muss no fuss.
When DK’s were introduced they were treated terrible by both factions, they had to earn their way into peoples good graces and they were the fallen HEROES of either given faction. Void Elves are just random Blood Elves that are corrupted by the void, who used to work with the enemy faction who they are currently at war with, and are being corrupted by old gods, and are being driven insane… but they are just fine.
