Predict what AMD's 90X Series GPU's will cost on launch

Given that MSRP is said to be $549 and $599 respectively for the 9070 and 9070XT, what are your predictions for actual price ranges for different board partners that will appear when the GPU’s go live on retailers this week?

I’m going to say that the models directly from AMD will be at MSRP and the AIB versions will be $100-150 over MSRP. Not that it will matter, by the time they are available to anyone but the bots that buy out stock for scalping, thing might normalize. We’ll see though after the news about the 5070 going for +$100 over MSRP, even directly from Nvidia.

RTX 5070 with an MSRP @$550, the AIBs are pricing their units from $600 to $740. I’m not holding my breathe for competitive pricing from AMD AIBs especially if Nvidia gpus are limited in stock at launch.

AMD isn’t releasing reference cards for this launch; all models will be from AIB partners

Unless there’s anti-scalping measures taken, the MSRP boards will vaporize in seconds. What you’ll see for sale are 3rd party resales.

Launch day is upon us! Stock is, for the most part, predictably non-existent.

Despite reports of bountiful supply for the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, all the stock has now disappeared, and a quick search on Ebay will show you where a fair bit of it ended up. Not content with exploiting buyers of Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 GPUs, scalpers have now also turned to the new AMD GPUs, demanding prices of well over $1,000 for the new $599 GPU.

Did anyone snag one?

I can neither confirm or deny that I may possibly have a new Hellhound being delivered tomorrow :eyes:

Nope. Every vendor I checked sold out the second it was released. Newegg, Amazon (non-3rd party), and Bestbuy all gone faster than the page would refresh.
