Preach's visit to Blizz HQ is great content

Are you high? Yes they created them and it stay because the community wants it to stay

Well that’s not my idea nor did I ever say it was. What I’m saying is that we have no idea how the million or so players feel, we only know that there is an angry minority of angry people who use the forums.

So to the question, why would the developers focus on the angry minority and just assume they represent “the players” as they often claim? Who do they listen to? Well most likely the system produces stats that show which features are popular.

A lack of communication and transparency that has been the #1 driving force behind criticism of the current management for this game on public forums and now in Preach’s latest video Ion says that he has been reading all of the unanswered Top posts for years and just ignoring all of their dissatisfied customers when most just thought they didn’t read our posts. That’s some BS to me.

Yep, Blizzard toes the line too much with old school design philosophies and modern philosophies. So you have an audience that is seemingly only partially happy.

Modern online games makes group finding seamless and easy. I use primarily the LFD and LFR tool, not because I don’t like to socialize and not because I don’t want more challenging content. I socialize sometimes in groups and other times I help slower players grasp a mechanic. I play challenging games and enjoy raiding when they’re designed to not eat up half your evening.

Modern MMOs cater to my demographic, while WoW only offers LFR and M+.

Never mind the opposition to it on the Classic side?

True, similar to reviews on google or yelp, it’s more often than not unhappy customers as people don’t take the time if they are generally satisfied, but I still see a lot of seething with hundreds of people posting on the forums about legitimate issues that seem to just fester. I honestly believe the biggest problem is the disconnect between the wow team and the players, it causes so many issues when the pulse of the community is misread. The fix is empower the CC, hire people who are actually good at the game to QC, or us the droves of feedback on the forums and reddit, but something absolutely needs to change, all of the promised feedback loop has dissolved into nothing again.

It is not a skill that doing three or four times will make you feel better at. Just look at streamers who start out. Being on camera is not something many people can do, and also they are talking about a subject that they are trying to show passion and excitement for. It is hard to do.

Ok so you’re looking to understand the distinctions. WoW is a largely solo experience 1-max level. Those other games do not operate like this. Nobody is going to master league solo queuing from start to finish. It just doesn’t work like that.

And none of those products really do which is the point I am making. As a product for online engagement they do a better job.

The top posts do not tell us much of anything except what a small group of people feel. Now do they feel strongly, sure but that doesn’t mean they represent the majority of people who hold subscriptions.

ARE YOU? Lol

They do when Twitter and Reddit are similar and streamers with millions of followers.

Ok then, I hope his time your dream of trying the same thing over and over really does result in something completely different.

The literally minority of the community that is literally playing in a separate mode meant to replicate an era before it?

Cuz on retail everyone hates those kinds of post

You sound like you are really miserable playing this game…

Why are you here???

You’re saying “they are not paid actors” in defense of them coming across like clueless bobbleheads every time we see them. I’m saying to you that ‘paid actors’ is exactly what they seem like.

Yeah more forums dominated by people with something to complain about. People who are happy with a product generally don’t go onto a forum to argue how wonderful a product might be. They just use the product.

Retail is the minority. Or at least was while Classic had the fancy of the general audience.

Retail is the one getting all the development money. It shouldn’t even be a contest but is because retail is from a design PoV inferior.

I don’t have to answer that, i know my rights🤡

We have no way of knowing if it’s an angry minority though. There are genuinely good feedback posts on the forums as well that can proactively help polish the franchise as a whole being discounted here as well outside of the normal ‘this game sucks’ type posting. Realistically, the only indicator of player happiness is the sub count and they stopped releasing it because it was always ammo about how poorly the game was doing.

I see where you are going with the line of question, I just wholeheartedly believe that blizzard will continue to isolate from community interactions for another expansion as they have done repeatedly, and that mentality continues adding nails to the coffin of arguably the best mmo to date.

What? Do you think there is less player on retail than on classic? The cope is starting to reach levels that was only ever theorized before
