anyone know where to find where it says that warrior rage reset to like 15 when engaging a raid boss if they have more then that. example would be you have 70 rage, charge boss gain 20 then immediately go to 15 after getting to the boss
It’s just a generally accepted reality. All classes used to cheese in some way, shape, or form, but now you can’t.
It is kinda annoying when soloing old content.
Even more annoying is when you have no rage, you pop recklessness. Then you charge, gaining 40 rage but then it goes down to 20 rage.
Makes me mad when it happens.
this is when i first noticed, when doing mount runs. im just looking for the patch notes or change log that states what exactly is happening
You could try some google-fu to see if you could find the official patch notes. I tried, and found some discussion about it as far back as 2016, but nothing official.
whats funny is now that i made this thread, it is one of the top search results
But why would you reck. before charge? you’re wasting a GCD on a non dps ability
Charge generates 20 rage, it also does damage.
Having a larger rage pool at pull allows you to use rampage more quickly.
Also charge is off the gcd, but recklessness is not. So you can use both at the same time. Putting recklessness before Charge though. Otherwise you waste a gcd slot charging to the enemy. As it takes around a gcd to reach the enemy if you charge at the max range (25 yards). That does depend on haste though.
i might have assumed you had Reckless Abandon. my bad!
