That’s still 5 minutes where there’s absolutely nothing to do.
Go touch grass then. If 5 minutes is that bad , you may need a 12 step program for that addiction you have

I farmed lumber for decor and ore in between spawns (at 10 minutes) to work towards the housing endeavors. Stand up and stretch. Go to the bathroom. Watch naughty movies. Do situps. Read a book. If you’re sitting there staring at your screen it’s on you.

If the best way to engage in your event is finding something else to do, then you’ve failed to make an engaging event.

I don’t disagree that the event is underwhelming, because it is, but rare spawns have almost always been on a timer. I remember groups of people camping spawn points for rares that dropped mounts with a 4-5 hour spawn time. It’s not like they did it just for this.
