Hey, are we able to get the new gear in this pre patch or is that phase 2? like pre patch for shadow land gear farming just curious

The new gear is part of the prepatch event a few weeks from now. Today the big sell is new talents. Oh, and new ui.

Yeah today is the scrub pre patch the real one is nov 15th
There’s basically two phases of the prepatch. Today is:
New UI
New Talents
All raids Fated
Season 4 over
Tier sets disabled
And November 15th is:
Evokers Playable
Elemental Invasion Event (with catch-up gearing)
Winds of Wisdom Buff gone

No worries, M+ isn’t going anywhere.
The end of the season just means that you can’t get the season’s PVP mounts or the M+ title.
Keystone Master (and the mount) will still be available until Dragonflight hits.

I just came back to check the new patch. I left in 9.1. What is it mean “all raids are fated”?
So, basically, in Season 4, they added a “Fated” difficulty to all of the Shadowlands raids.
This bumped all of their difficulty up to the same level, and awarded better gear to reflect this.
It made all three raids relevant at the same time. It also added new mechanics to each boss, making them slightly more difficult mechanically, but also resulted in HUGE DPS increases when performed successfully.
I have it already but with all raids going Fated today, is the Slime Cat still available? If so, I’d like to use that to get a friend to come back to WoW.
Yup, Slime Cat, and all of the Fated achievements, are still available until Dragonflight hits. So, now that there’s no raid rotation anymore, and you can gear all you want, now’s the time to go for it if your friend still needs that mount.

Huh, that’s actually pretty cool.
I think it was. It wasn’t like, a HUGE content glut or anything, but it was enough to keep me playing and engaged in what is usually the big content drought of an expansion (the time between the final raid and the next expansion).
Yea I haven’t done much with my ui in years so this will be a good excuse to clean things up a bit.
