Does it really matter? Those servers are dead anyway. All the active players have already left.
No, it does not matter for population purposes. However, it doesnât make sense to patch those servers and then merge/decom them after from an IT standpoint.

Itâs possible but the 9th is when they are consolidating all the low pop servers. I canât imagine theyâd also release the prepatch and new wotlk servers at the same time. Too many unknowns and things that could go wrong. My bet is Aug 9 consolidation. Aug 16 pre patch
No announcement yet on the end of Arena S4.
At minimum 2 more resets before prepatch.
arena season ends = Aug 8th
server merges = Aug 9th
Prepatch = Aug 15th

Arena has been dead trash since bc released so it really doesnât matter at this point.
They said the buff would last at least 6-8 weeks. 9 weeks falls in that realm. There has been no communication on prepatch being longer than 2-6 weeks as the last time they mentioned a timeframe for prepatch they said no less than 2 and no more than 6 weeks. So everyone thinking we will have a 7-8 week prepatch is fooling themselves until Blizzard provides communication otherwise.

They clearly stated less than 2 weeks is too less of a pre patch. And more than 6 weeks is too much. Likely getting 4.
I hope so⌠but once again, BLIZZURD took a month to add the XP buff and boosting nerf yet they somehow managed to break a lot of things that werenât a problem before and now they are.
also they are 100 percent not launching prepatch on the same say that Season 4 starts on retail not gonna happen

as when classic then tbcc split off came, the âwhat server do I chooseâ threads here and elsewhere came out early.
so they may be trying to stem the tide of âmegaserverâ. WhichâŚI see going to happen anyway.
As OCE needs, not wants this to happen. Fresh OCE doesnât need another feltstriker incident. Some people said we will not do this. OkayâŚenjoy the dead server.
and yeahâŚeven if 1 week given for noticeâŚpopular servers will be picked.
those who do this will await the âstreamerâ servers. andâŚavoid them probably. since not all want to be an actor in a streamerâs on stream play. or they donât want to deal he who shall be namedâs crap. he will be there. He needs hits. SO I see at least in fresh server bot video specials. Look look blizzard doesnât care.

prepatch would lose. Many will want to hammer out fates for the mount. other lingering goals.
pvpâers like meâŚwill strike early as usually the first 2 weeks of new seasons are way less painful. also when you need to hammer this out on main-like chars.
the new gear limit is decent. Most are replacing it so its about as fair as its getting then.
its 2 weeks in the max conquerors have you go damnâŚhe dropped me in7/7 honor gear like it was nothing. back to the crap in pvp weâve had 3 seasons. But the first 2 weeks of season make you smile a little at least.
