Not yet confirmed, but given the way Blizzard worded the warning that went out Monday - “With the last days of BFA upon us” - it’s my first guess, just because if you were going to wait longer you’d have used the phrase “weeks.” Also several popular WoW content creators, like Preach, suspect it, too; and it would leave the same days until SL launch as other pre-patch launches have.
If not the 29th, the 6th. I doubt it’ll drop later than that.

Based on previous patterns I’d guess the 6th. Hoping for next week, and wouldn’t be surprised with that though.

I am betting on the 29th for the following reasons:
- There are a LOT of “what’s going away/staying” posts from Blizzard
- As mentioned, they said final days. I also think if it was 6th they would say weeks.
- There are no realm connections scheduled for next week. This week’s announcement didn’t contain the caveat of “we are planning more, stay tuned next week”
- We are either going to have the shortest pre-patch announcement, or the shortest pre-patch event. My bet is still on them compressing the announcement window and not the pre-patch.
I am, however, surprised we didn’t get an announcement last night. They did announce a release candidate so they are wrapping things up.

With the PTR getting updated a day earlier than normal and now being a Release build I’m thinking the 29th… and hoping.

My guess is an announcement on Friday and the pre-patch on the 29th.

Not confirmed. People keep posting thinking that’s gonna be the case, but as we draw ever closer, I doubt it more and more. October 6th makes the most sense.
My guts says the 6th.
It’s also pretty bad at predicting things so take it how you will.

They just announced the end of the pvp season earlier this week. It’s always been 2 weeks after that.
Itll be Oct 6th.

Wrong. The last two pre-patches were 11 days and 12 days.

It’s all guesses. Technically with the announcement being on Monday the 29th would be the 2nd reset. All I care about is pre-patch ASAP. I don’t want this to be the shortest pre-patch ever.

Historically, whenever PTR gets a build that is labeled “Release” we usually get an announcement by the end of that week and live the next week.
It could be either the 29th or the 6th but odds look good that it will be the 29th. If we don’t get an announcement by the end of business day this coming Friday then I would expect the 6th and not get my hopes up.

I agree with those wanting it on the 29th. I need new things to do. Im an altaholic and I need Prepatch for the new leveling experience. Everywhere I go, everyone i talk to says there’s no point to leveling right now.

I do find it odd we haven’t gotten an announcement yet. I thought for sure yesterday was announcement day. I feel maybe they are hedging their bets on next week while final QA stuff is done.

I think they’ll drop another type of promotion on Thursday maybe an animated or cgi video and announce pre patch on the 29th. It’ll give folks the weekend to grind out any short term goals they have.
I also could be totally wrong and next Tuesday we’ll see “pre patch October 6th!?” posts on here.

However, ofc, as time passes, the next week is more likely to be “the one” lol
