So right now we’re at a crossroads:

  1. the announce the pre-patch tomorrow along the PVP season ending, releases on the 6th, and only have 3 weeks of pre-patch (unprecedented).
  2. They announce it for the 29th, cutting the PVP announcement to a week ( i think the shortest has been 12 days)
  3. They release it tomorrow and everyone is happy right(?)

There is another option, which is incredibly unlikely but still technically possible: they delay both the expansion and the pre-patch.

I feel like of all the options I’ve seen on the forums thus far I’d prefer this out of any of them.

Likely.

Unlikely, but it gives some notice. People would be irked, but I think it’d be fine.

Fairly sure the forums would explode from mythic raiders, and PvP’ers alike on this one.

We have 2 prepatch events, don’t forget that. It seems strange that they left so little time for, what seems like, the biggest prepatch ever.

As far as PvP goes, doesn’t this season get an asterisk for corruptions anyway, lol? Just end this :poop:-show.

I don’t understand the secrecy on their part, just give us a date, there is no way they are just winging this.

I heard a rumor will be able to get normal quality raid gear during the pre patch (ilvl ~450 ish - obviously this number get squished though). That true?

It isn’t going to happen though. They gave a release date to the public one month ago. Talk about egg on your face if they tried to delay it.

Honestly, the only reason i didn’t add “delay” as a forth option was cause the announcement of the Shadowlands release date was not that long ago, they could’ve perfectly announced it for a later date if they had too.

I don’t expect them to, I’m simply stating that I feel like of all the options I’d prefer this one. Mainly because it feels as though there are problems they either hadn’t expected, or did expect and didn’t realize it’d take this long to fix and now the date they likely originally wanted for prepatch isn’t going to happen and everyone’s like “whered u go… :frowning:”. And, I’d rather they confidently sort everything out rather than rush something and still see issues in the long run.

I feel that if 2 weeks ago they had said: “we’re delaying the prepatch a bit” they wouldn’t be in this issue; instead of literally announcing that they were going to split it into 2 to make the production of the prepatch content faster…
