The pre patch event today is not including all of the ways to get the ilvl 100 gear (besides killing Nathanos).How does this make sense??

There’s a questline we have to do. It’s time gated. Some open up next week with part two of the storyline. Some open up as we do more things.

It’s simple. They don’t want you to get your alts caught up to where you can do higher level content. They may also be working with the people who sell Mythic runs for gold and money.

It isn’t like there is much time for this event before the expansion launches.
Well, it is only three weeks and there’s a lot of stuff to get. I think people want to be able to plan this out, to make sure they get it all.

Challenge accepted. Gonna come up with some real creative ways to kill him over the next few weeks, and I honestly hope they leave him in permanently so I can go wreck him anytime I want.
9 pieces of catch up gear for 15 currency each, and we can earn 17 currency per day via dailys, but only one week of dailys, so you can only purchase 7 pieces of catch up gear. Of course you can’t even get to quest giver Theron because blizz allowed mounts to be used around him. How can blizz make the same mistakes over and over again, and why only one week of pre-patch? Terrible start to the expac blizz.

WTF is the point of catch up gear if you can only get it a couple days before the launch of SL…which will have you replacing all your gear with greens within the first hour of playing it?
Smooth move blizz. 2 weeks before gear is obsolete and you time-gate it.

I normally would feel the same, but one week to catch up on the characters you have and try to experience other content. With the gear I have I can’t even do the allied race quests.
How else would you have fun?

Fills me with confidence about Shadowlands.
The idea is not for fresh toons to get the gear and clear Nyalotha. It is to be geared enough to start questing in Shadowlands. So 2 days before SL is perfect timing.
