The event needs work, I even posted my idea on it in a topic of its own, but sadly, seems that unless topics are hammering Blizzard with complaints, they don’t get much notice/replies.

Ya know how that Taylor Swift song goes. We are never ever ever ever getting back together. Like. Ever.
I can’t even level my alts meaningfully – I get so much more xp just running dungeons as a healer. Or if I want another dps, I can go do time running.
HOWEVER If I want to run anything with my friends, I can’t be in time running. Also that’s been live the last two months, so I’ve had tons of time to get any and all of the rewards I want.
The quests are also weekly, which is a mind boggling decision, and on any busy server the game lags so hard its not even a fun event.
I might just let my sub lapse until TWW actually launches, but even then this is just frustrating at best.

Is timerunning currently up? I need to get some alts from 60-70 and I know for a fact that timerunning will be a better experience for that.
I mean I totally would do more but I don’t think I can count that high.
No, just the MOP remix time runners. I sure wish I could farm the timewalking events though. Those are more fun than this.

Considering you can get the transmogs by doing the event and even those not of your class or armor type is quite nice. It lets you focus on the pets and mounts first.
The bugs have been far more annoying.

at the very least we shouldn’t need 20+ cycles of weeklies to afford a set of gear for a single alt

This. A lot of people have school, work, family and thus have a limited time to play. to only be able to do 1 event (and if you’re late you missed it!) is not fun, nor is it engaging to farm mobs for 1 memory each.
I don’t think it’s too much to ask Blizzard to be respectful of player time and meet the players where they are with their needs. There is a balance between pacing events/currency so people don’t blow through it in one night and making it a boring snooze fest. Right now it’s not fun, it’s not engaging, and it’s a lot of waiting for 10 minutes of play since the grinding itself is not fulfilling.
I really hope Blizzard reads through the feedback and makes some adjustments to allow this event to be fun.

shadowlands was bookended by pretty awesome prepatch events, I like the dragonflight one better

Point was that Shadowlands which was delayed because of time and went on to have a very very bad first season with more issues than I care to list at least managed a fun little event for the launch.
This dude has to be trolling. How could anyone defend this shallow, unfun, took-10-minutes to design event? “I went out to eat and did other stuff” argument was pretty funny though.
