I’ll throw my suggestions at the end but first I’m going to vent a bit.
This is literally the worst pre patch ever of all time ever in the history of WoW ever.
Any kind of game play in any game that tells you to sit around and do nothing and wait on a timer is the worst kind of game play you can put in a game. What this does to the player’s mind is tells them to NOT play the game.
I really don’t understand how anyone could think this could be a good idea. My 5 year old knows this is a bad idea.
Yes. I understand that we can mindlessly press 5 on our keyboards and collect 1 Residual Memory per mod killed. The most mindless kind of gameplay that exists in any game.
Yes. I know every hour and 30 minutes a little event appears and we kill some mini boss. But that’s just the problem. We SIT AROUND AND LITERALLY WAIT AND DO NOTHING.
The currency drops inbetween the events is completely abysmal. I am in no way going to sit around for an hour and 20 minutes pressing 5 on my keyboard waiting for something to do. Just won’t do it.
This is the best you guys could come up with? I am not even being sarcastic or trying to be rude, I’m being honest. This is really the best you could come up with?
Yes. I understand that per week the events will be faster and faster. Wooptidoo. I WANT IT NOW.
The events need to cycle every 30 minutes right now. Do one at a time this first week. Then the next up it to 20 minutes. Then 10.
I said it before and I’ll say it again because apparently it’s not clear.
Any type of game play that tells the player to sit around and do literally nothing is the worst kind of game design that can ever be put into any game.
This is literally the worst pre patch ever put into any expansion in the entire history of WoW. Epic fail.
Your argument is that NOT playing the game is healthy? Great job. Lol. Yeah I went and ate dinner too but I didn’t go out to eat. I’ve been working all day trying to relax. Sitting here for over an hour to do something is completely unacceptable.
Seems to be a lot of issues with this prepatch event and I haven’t even started it. I’ve been afk in front of my bank fixing up all my toons for the warbank. I wonder if it’s better to just wait a few days or a week and see if blizz fixes the event.
Well, let’s have 14 days between events then. I can do the event, go take a nice 2 week vacation and come back in time for the next. That’s healthy. Oh wait. The game doesn’t revolve just around me. And oh no. We’re paying a subscription for it as well. Doesn’t seem so healthy now.
Second-best/second-most-fun was the Wrath prepatch imo, just so much trolling potential with that one due to spreading disease as a ghoul/ability to cause other players to turn into ghouls against their will
We did it so much worse in TBC Classic that Blizzard had to disable the event before the time because people were purposefully only playing to spread the diseases and there was not a single town safe
Legion assaults during prelaunch were fun. Those were up more frequently, then increased until all 6 were up at the same time. No one was languishing, worrying about if they’d get enough currency, etc. We just flew around, protected lowbies and killed invasions.
Well, if they increase its frequency it will not make it funnier.
They were.
But people are not asking the frequency to be increased for that they want to get more currencies and reducing its frequency would lead to reduced currency being given.
Well the problem was introducing gear with unique visual and now FOMO people are at their nerves.
You keep saying this like FOMO is some sort of mass hysteria.
And it seems unprompted every time, so it’s not like you’re countering claims of it being a FOMO gotcha with “yeah but you’re the one falling for it” either.
As soon as I saw that the quests were weekly and not daily I rolled my eyes, this isn’t a well designed event.
I’ve been sitting in Dustwallow Marsh for 20 minutes with no idea what I’m supposed to do, nobody is even talking probably because they don’t know what to do either. Guess I’ll go back to Remix. This is just pathetic.
